It seems to me that altering what someone typed in for their password is much worse than informing the user that they can't use leading or trailing spaces.
The whole time they said "simultaneous" they always stipulated that meant worldwide within the month of November. Apparantly you missed that detail. A week apart is actually closer than I expected.
I thought the march sales numbers were like 25% lower than year ago numbers? That's a decline isn't it?:)
Not a decline, just the end of a generation. This happens every time the new set of consoles are about to come out. It's still way up from N64/Playstation era.
There are reasons why the mongols didn't conquer all of Europe. Basically it's because Ögödei (Genghis Kahn's heir) died while they were in the middle of doing it, and the generals had to figure out who would be the next leader of the mongol empire since it wasn't simply passed along the family line. They never got back to conquering Europe because they started focusing on southern China(which is most of modern day china). It really doesn't have anything to do with terrain of Europe.
Yes peer pressure is a good (or bad) motivator. The problem here is that your peers on the road can't get to the speeder to have any effect on them. (unless you want to get out of your car at a red light, but how many people are going to do that?) It'll basically just translate into more road rage.
Not that I really disagree that going to the movies is a ripoff. But at a movie theater they do provide you with not only the movie, but the building, seating, parking(usually), lighting, and sound system. For a video game you have to provide all of that yourself.
Somebody needs to look up the definition of hypocrite. You give the X-box a chance, but then start calling the Gamecube names?
All you talk about for the X-box is graphics (and that Soul Calibur II has Spawn). The graphics on the Gamecube are nearly as good as the X-box's. I haven't seen graphics on the X-box that blows me away compared to what I've seen on the Gamecube. As for games there are tons of great games on the Gamecube (Metroid Prime and Viewtiful Joe are two examples), on the X-box there is basically just Halo and Ninja Gaiden(only talking exclusive games here).
I don't have an X-box because I'm just not interested.
Metallica can't sue you, as they don't control the rights to their works on the CDs that were put out by (whatever RIAA label).
The label owns the rights.
Actually the poster wisely used Metallica as an example because they are one of the few bands that do own the rights to their own songs. So this is a possible scenario.
I saw an article on this yesterday on IGN.com. In the article they say that to use the SD Card the game has to be speciffically programmed to do this, which serously reduces the usability of getting one.
What I find funny about this is that when I was in high school I had a teacher that asked us to hack into the schools computers. Except the reason she wanted us to do it, was because she had changed the Supervisor password and forgot what it was.
I must point out that the Bible doesn't have any indication that the world is only somewhere b/t 5000 and 7000 years old. If you've read the bible you should note that Genesis 1:2(I could be a verse or two off) says "The earth became a dark and desolate place..." this seems to me that the earth had already existed before what we read in Genesis. In fact it doesn't even rule out that dinasours existed Millions of years ago. There is nothing to indicate how much time passed b/t the initial creation of the earth and what happened in Genesis.
Some of the Napster alternatives search multiple places to generate the most hits possible, such as "Angry Coffee". I don't know of any others right now but I'm sure there are more.
I know to some extent that such large boxes are used to help prevent shoplifting. It's much harder to conceal a large box than it is to conceal a CD in just the case. I'm sure that most companies just think of this as an added benifit to being the most visible on the shelf though.
This is along the same lines as turning MIR into a hotel. Which is basically what's happening to it. It seems to me that space exploration is going to be more and more commercialized. What's next, being able to visit the Ramada located on the moon!

According to the article Napster charges by the song to be able to burn to a CD. Though it doesn't say what the cost is.

That's putting their foot in their mouth too. Though I'm not sure if that's Apple's fault or not.
Nah, she was the one that wrote the virus.

Run Lola Run is not the same sequence of events. It's the same plotline with different things happening each time.
