my CPU gets hot.. what more do ya want man? I dont have a stand alone box to underclock, because I use my computer for other things. If my crummy Athalon X2 didnt need a fan, i wouldnt have one on it.. am I the only one who thinks a stand alone box is overkill sometimes.. in a perfect world i'd have a big pile of money to buy the latest in slow computers I would.. but right now im more concerned about keeping a roof over my families head and food in their bellies.
my HTPC is used for other purposes too.. more of a regular PC with HTPC capabilities.. i dunno what to call it... wait yes I do... its a PC.. its only HT when i turn the lights off
i use my iPod to control my HTPC wireless FTW.. wish my video was wireless, would be nice to go "silent" without sacrificing speed.. HTPC in another room, no need for a 'pretty' case.. I WANT
I think its the social aspect.. the people who i know that play are either retired, or stay-at-home mom types.. It's something they can do when they have a spare moment.. they are constantly asking each other for farm help.. I played FarmTown, if its anything like that, it doesnt really appeal to me for more than a few hours (total). I think the neat aspect of these games that make them so addictive, is even if you suck at the game, and put little effort in to it, you still see results.. sort of like a virtual aquarium of sorts..

Instead of saying "WE need to change things" you are saying "I wish SOMEONE ELSE would change things"... So go for it, complain all ya want.. but its a waste of breath (or keystrokes, whatever)
around 2 people die every second.. when something is showcased like this it is the natural human reaction to poke fun.. its a way to remove yourself from the situation without having to face your own mortality.. in a way, all the 'cheap, craze [sic] comments' are their way of mourning a complete stranger to them...

we really shoul repeal the laws of thermodynamics... this war on perpetual motion has gone on long enough. all those people rotting in jail becuase of their net-zero energy use.. not cool
its called an airtight stove, but its not air-tight.. it means once the fire is burning you can shut down the drafts and close the flu.. it forces the smoke to re-burn,.. this really limits the amount of chemicals coming out the stack as a result of incomplete burn.. its not as clean a burn as hardwood, but when compared to burning fresh new fossil fuels I think it works out well.. once in a while you need to run a really hot hardwood fire in it to clean out soot, which builds up a result of the wax smoke... but in the end, its a great way to heat a garage... but would not be recomended for a house..
i like land rovers, but the reason the Jeep gets towed, is because its technically not road legal... that and we dont consider it a "day" until the toys break.
