The Lone Gunmen had a lot of potential.... and then they aired the first one. Man was it stupid!!! A really bad Jr. G-Men, written for idiotic teenyboopers, and it took me a month to find out what day it aired.
It could have been really great, but they made it idiotically dumb. oh, well, they are bound to showback up in X Files.
I can see a water cooled power supply being somewhat safe, since the connections are to the outside of the unit, and I might even look into one someday. But having pressurized water a few centimeters away from my processor would scare the living crap outta me!!
I've seen old car engines where the fuel lines were leaking on the manifold. It reminds me of that. scary!!!
I can imagine a hot summer day, and the power goes out, and the frickin' plastic tubes get hot enough to melt and *sssppprrrinnkleeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
all inside the box.
I dunno about that one.
uh-huh. Tell that to those poor exposed people in Europe, or Japan ands other places we don't know about.
So your telling me that 100,000 years of the waste being so toxic we have to store it in a big fuckin hole in the ground, is safer than anything we got? You better remove your CIA implant.
We could save up towards 40% of fuel we already have, if they choose (or, more likely having to be regulated into) to make more efficient vehicles, and appliances.
If you're so gung-ho on nuclear power, you should build a power plant in your OWN backyard!!

Problem with that is, we live in a very large country. We can drive for DAYS, and still be able speak the same language! Out states are like EU countries. Besides, who wants to ride a bus, that takes forever to get anywhere because it stops at every bunghole bustop, no matter if there's anyone there or not?
I agree totally with you. This is nonsense. What's next, copyright infringement for listening to music? How about all those bar bands that play nothing but cover songs? I guess they should pay to play music. How about Xerox copy machines, heck, they do more copyright infringement than anything. Why not put a copy tax on all copy machines that goes to music publishers? This country is getting ridiculous.
Power to the people!!
20% of internet using Americans used Napster in Feb. Screw you RIAA! You had your chance, in those immortal words "you snooze, you loose".
People want easy access downloadable music. We don't pay for music from the radio, why should we buy into your overpriced cd's anymore?
hahahhahahhahahahhahhahhahahhahhahha!!!!
Ya think it might actually be those massive solar flares we experienced this month, and not necessarily the OS? (naa, that'd be too smart) Or maybe it might actually be software not necessarily the OS? 3 computer systems going down at the same time means there's something more going on than just the OS.
And as for backups being other operating systems- now that wouldn't really be a backup now would it? They'd have to write three complete software systems. (You know they use custom software right?)
Well, I guess we know where this guy stands on certain [F]ree or [f]ree software licenses now, too!
Gosh, you only THINK you [K]now or [N]o.
Quite actually, there's nothing wrong with software released under whichever license. It's lemmings like YOU that expect EVERYTHING to be free that gives the GPL a bad name. Oh, we can't have ANY other way of thinking that's contrary to the GPL, can we. After all, making money to eat is just pure and plain evil.
This is silly. You think people that already infringe on copyright law are going to uphold this? HA! Oh, and the GD only allowed trading of live concerts, the released albums & studio material was always off limits to free trade, although it happened.
I don't know about you, but if some artist is going to use MY material, possibly even profit from MY material, I want more compensation than just a few scribbles on the backside/bottom of some small print. I gotta eat, too ya know.
I just been waitin to see 'The Sheet Metal Worker'! God, I can't wait to download THAT one!
Unfortunatly, those movies seem to be very bad, old, 'movies' they showed in school.

Google just rocks my world, man. I am so glad about this news. Hell, I'd give my left nut to be able search those archives again.
Good goin' google, just dont sell out too much like those cruddy ones did. Long live goole.com!!
In addition to its "state of the art" recording equipment, a good recording studio also requires musicians, engineers, secretaries and janitors, not to mention interior decorators, limousine service and snacks for hungry artists, all of which means additional expense.
ya, every time I have ever been in a 'recording' studio, it didn't have any 'limousine' service( or if it did, it was our van!). The janitor is usually the guy behind the mixer, the snacks are whatever we brought with us. Last recording studio I was at, had a frickin' bullet hole going through the back door!
I am in violation of Apples wishes, I downloaded WinAqua theme for windowblinds, and oh, I'm not EVER going to buy any apple products because I got the interface right here!, and when I sell this computer, I'll tell people that it really IS made by Apple, and that it runs all windows programs!!
hahahhahahahahha!!!!!!
Is that someone _intentionally_ caused the massive DATA LOSS of Challenger, because someone didn't want civilians in the space program. Because then, we might find out what things are REALLY out there....
daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.......
What everyone in this discussion is completely missing, is the REAL reason for all of this. It's not the way we make electricity, every way we make has its good reasons, and also its draw backs. The real bugger in all of this is CONSUMPTION. We all rely on electricity, and thats the way GE, and electric producers, and electronics manufacturers want it. Reduce consumption of electricity, and you'll reduce the need to build your stupid UNclear power plants that have to place to put the waste, or blacklung spewing coal plants. Its the CONSUMPTION, stupid!!
Its like the way medicine here works. We dont try to prevent anything, we only treat it once we already got it.

Actually, I am interested in the acoustic side. My new scsi drive throws off so much heat anyway, I could fry an egg on it!!

Just another way for those darned attornies to get rich. Who really benefits here the most? consumer? hardly.
better not let bush' cronies catch wind of this. they might start drilling on soybean fields.
Big fat money hungry PIGS! jesus, I might just move to Norway, or somewhere else, cause this crap is getting too deep for me.
