Part of this is because of the influence the U.S. has on our countries. I guess we need to keep an eye always looking at you to know if you are planning to sign a free trade agreement with us, change the amount of monetary aid you send our way, pass some law that makes us outlaws, try to change our style of government or just bomb us. You have the power to change our lives maybe more than even we do.
also.. it is difficult to remember if one saw somthing, I see a hundred photos in facebook every week, sometimes at work sometimes drunk at home, sometimes I see an album again because I don't remember seeing it before but then one photo in the album which I do remember makes aware I had seen them all before.
Or.... you could vote, and educate your friends and family and have them vote. Or even run for office yourself. Don't complain because an asshole was elected, you had your chance to stop it. And you will have another chance. Oh and if you do get elected, just don't be an asshole.
But what do I care what other people do in PHP or whatever other language? I care about what I can do and what my coleagues can do. We are very good and efficient after 11 years using PHP. I had used Microsoft languages before that and I am very happy to have made the switch to PHP.
I use VirtualBox 3.2 on Linux and often run 3 vm at the same time, one with linux, one with win98 and one with XP. I have very few applications running on each one, perhaps your problem is too much stuff running on each vm or too much virtual RAM assigned to each vm, or not enough real ram or cpu....
many extensions are made for free by people that completed them and perhaps no longer have the time to update them. That does not mean they are no longer needed or wanted by the existing users. You can't blame the guy who did the extension in his free time or demand that he put some more time to it.

there are probably many similar examples with dogs in thinking about the future. Mine is no genius but when chasing a ball and getting close to a wall he knows it will bounce back and just waits for it. When I go behind a wall that is hallway he knows I will be coming out of the other end and will wait for me there. In the morning when I fill his bowl of water he does not drink but goes crazy because he knows my next move will be to fill the food bowl. I am pretty sure he can tell when I am getting ready to leave the house without him and when I am getting ready to take him out, even though it is basically the same thing and do not follow a regular schedule.
the only change that can come from these DDOS attacks is more investment in network security (more costs which could end up driving consumer prices up) and more severe cybercrime laws. I don't see how anyone can benefit from this. And shutting down sites because you dont agree with what the owner says or does goes against free speech as people will keep quiet just to avoid being attacked.
even if people know paypal sucks they might still continue to use it because there are no better options in some cases. I know it sucks, they have treated me badly, and yet I use it a lot because after trying various alternatives it was the only way I could find to make my small business work. But of course I try to get money out of there as soon as it comes in, I don't trust them, it is just a tool I use.
Most accounting transactions use 4 digits internally for the calculations. It is possible that your account balance is kept with 4 digits even though it only shows 2. Someone selling stuff for $0.00056 would only make money if they sell many many items to many people. If each customer is going to buy many items then you can just sell them 5000 items for $0.01 and then just keep track of how many they have used. You don't need to change the way banks operate.
so just raise them a bit. Most companies won't relocate for just a bit more of taxes. Someone can probably figure out what would be a good increase that helps the economy and does not scare companies away.
