Check some other news outlets. Many gave OHIO to Bush long ago (putting him at 269 or more). Check the specific voter numbers in OHIO and you'll see why Kerry has conceded. Also note that PA is actually CLOSER than OHIO but the mainstream media did not hesitate calling that for Kerry early last night.

However, if you have an older computer with steam, you could just copy the steam folder over. Or borrow a friends computer/work computer with internet access to install steam (600K) and create an account, then copy the steam folder over.

Anyway, you're posting to slashdot, which means you have SOME sort of internet access, right? ;)

Music is never a need. Nobody needs any music. Some things people need are: food, clothes, shelter, etc...

To me, music is a want, and more is always better. About the only thing I would rather do than listen to good music is to play it myself! Why wouldn't more be better? (without getting into the potential legalities or lack thereof in the obtaining of said music)

Anything not memorized must be looked up.

But that's the beauty of Java. It's very easy to look things up. The Sun Javadocs are vastly helpful, plus you can generate your own javadoc for your own code very easily. Does perl do that?

Therefore, system.out.println() is more difficult to remember than print.

You don't have to remember system.out.println(), you only have to remember how to navigate to sun.com's javadocs. Actually, with any decent java development environment (such as Eclipse or JBuilder), you just have to remember the beginning of the word system, and up pops a box to auto-complete with the full name plus a snippet from the javadoc explaining what it does etc... this is much more intuitive than Perl.

The point is, with Perl, you have to memorize "print". With java you don't have to memorize ANYTHING because it's all so easy to look up.

Just my 2 cents from my own programming experiences.

Irrelevant? You made the argument that Gays are asking for "extra" rights that are an abomination to the natural order of things. I provided a link demonstrating that homosexuality does occur in nature. Myabe I'm missing something here. Perhaps you can give a explanation of what you mean by "natural order of things."

Animals, for the most part, have sex to reproduce and create offspring, which is how species exist for more than one generation. This is what I mean by the "natural order of things". Homosexuality obviously does not fit into that picture.

Last time I checked people are animails. You know, hairless apes with big brains who walk upright. Wasn't this covered in your high school biology class?

Yes, people are animals, but not all animals are people. Animals in nature routinely fight and/or kill each other over attracting the opposite sex. By your argument, humans should be allowed to do the same just because "it is not unknown in nature". Your argument is ridiculous. Animals in nature are not part of a nation or a "people". Humans live to a higher standard than "animals". And BTW, I never took biology in high school, I took two years of chem and two of physics.

Are you honestly suggesting that homosexuality and incest are the same?

I never said they are the same, I'm simply drawing parallels between the two to show how ridiculous your arguments are since all your arguments could be applied to supporting incest in the same way that they support homosexuality. Personally, I think both are equally wrong and immoral.

Also, your Nat'l Geographic link is irrelevant. We are talking about people not animals. (There are differences between the two, dontcha know!)
