In the spirit of NASA and its forthcoming 2020 lunar expeditions in preparation for colonizing the moon
Shouldn't it be disguised as a moon rock then? And what's the purpose of hiding a rover on a colonized moon? Is this some sort of lunar Big Brother project? GoogleVan, is that you?
Seems like pushing the buttons on a keyboard should be just like pushing buttons on the guitar controller except you don't have to strum. This should be pretty easy to pick up, right?
I'm with you. I hate Facebook. I hate talking to my family, I've disowned most of the friends I've ever had, and I certainly don't want to talk to anyone from high school, my childhood, or friends of people I've had minimal contact with. If I want to interact with someone, I do it without posting details about my life on the interwebs. How can you put something on the internet and complain about privacy? Independent is the way to be.
The question of what conditions on Earth led to life is impossible to answer (for now). The focus of the article is whether or not life could currently exist on other planets/moons. If it can, it would be worthwhile to make a trip and get a sample. If we have no reason to believe life could exist on Mars or Titan, it would not make sense to go there. There is no problem with questioning the possibility of extraterrestrial life.
What happened to blaming the parents? I don't believe you can send a child out to do anything independently and expect them to just turn out ok. Someone with the ability to reason (not all parents) should be interacting with the children to ensure they are developing desirable social and behavioral skills. This should be true for whatever children are doing, not just video games.
Think about the children!
They found those shrimp in Antarctica. There's deep ocean creatures that live without the sun, at low temperature, and high pressure. It doesn't seem too unlikely that Titan could support some kind of life. The tricky part will be to figure out how it got there.
I found this interesting, but TFA is a little lacking. I'd still like to know how the sensory data is converted so that a blind person can use it. Does the system have a name so I can look it up?
I understand what everyone is ranting about. But this is a free service. My opinion is that people can find an alternative if they don't like Yahoo's policies. Why does everyone feel entitled? If Yahoo tells you up front what you're signing up for when you use their service, they have the right to make the default opt-out. I don't like it but I won't fault Yahoo for it.
I've never given Yahoo or Google a dime for the use of their services. They have worked quite well and I appreciate Yahoo notifying me before changing the privacy policy. Configuring my security setting does not seem like a big deal. If you don't like Yahoo's new policy, walk.
If I've been exposed to an NBC agent, I want something that I know works.
You're missing the point. This is not a treatment for exposure, it's a cleaner for contaminated sites. The question is whether you want to use a cleaner that has known negative effects on the environment (especially when used in large quantities) or one that is less destructive. It doesn't make sense to use super bleach when the military has come up with an effective "green" cleaning agent.
If we suffer a WMD terrorist attack, I want the BEST products to be used to deal with it, who cares if it's "green"?
If the fastest decontamination agent creates dangerous byproducts to neutralize NBC agents, is it the best? I think it's hardly worth decontaminating a site if you contaminate the site with your cleaners. "Green" in this article means the site is actually clean when you're done.
Lego Technic set 8094 had a pen (see item x245px1 in the list). It also had a fancy controller with programmable sequences. I purchased this set in Taiwan in the 80's. It was pretty fancy for it's time (before Mindstorms came out).
Is it more important to get your kid of to a good start or save those stem cells in case you need them later? Besides, there should still be some left over.
I would think that newborns are at a critical developmental stage and need all the help they can get. If I sucked out a significant portion of your blood, it would set you back a bit and you've been around more than 9 months.
While I would agree that this is a proof of concept rather than mass production, I don't think we need billions of quantum computers. Does every home PC need to be a quantum computer anyway? The value of a single quantum computer may offset the cost of building it one atom at a time.
I interpret your post to mean screw the little guy because progress is more important. Let the corporation reap the benefits as long as the little guy gets a "decent living" (regardless of what his efforts/ideas are actually worth).
I would love to live in your idyllic world with free ideas, but the truth is that everything is profit driven and corporations are unscrupulous when it comes to taking advantage of people when the opportunity arises.
If many people want something which is not yet available and you are the first person to come up with a practical solution, should you not benefit from inventing said solution? Do inventors deserve nothing? Windshield wipers may seem trivial, and provide only a simple relatable example for discussion, but Kinnear created a solution to a problem which became profitable for automobile manufacturers. He deserved more than the $20 million he got.

Now I have to start wearing underwear? That's it, I'm out of here!
I'm not sure about laid, but you'd definitely get screwed.
I live in a cold climate - it is use energy or freeze.
Or you could move. There are a lot of places in the world that don't require energy to not freeze.

Forget letting them die; they should be killed. News should be shared, not sold.
A quick search shows you where to go. Look for "Notifications and Settings" on your "Account Information" page.

I was already having trouble making it to the 9th inning without passing out.
Isn't any dead project going to remain in it's latest version? Or is it in perpetual beta? jk, chess is good.

I have my reservations about Texas.
