I played the java based free version for about 20 minutes. I built a few gigantic staircases and burrowed into the ground. After that It seemed really not much fun. Am I missing something?
Vodka is interesting. One of the few alcohols that can be made with nearly anything and still retain it's status as "vodka". Just off the top of my head, I've seen vodkas made with potatoes, grains, and even hemp.
I don't drink lattes, I drink the free coffee at work.....because it's free. I'm not broke either. Little savings here and there are what allow bigger purchases for me.
A little off topic, but I'll lend some personal experience here. Aged 24, at a DUI checkpoint, I blew UNDER the legal limit, was very polite and showed no inability to drive safely. I was thrown in cuffs, notified I'm under arrest for driving while intoxicated, taken to a hospital, video taped, took my blood. Meanwhile I was sitting near people noticably intoxicated or apprehended for doing far more nefarious acts than I. Still in cuffs, the cop wouldn't let me fish my phone out of my pocket to wake my girlfriend up at 2AM to come pick me up at the hospital--so he made the call and of course scared the shit out of her. I was notified that if I was over the limit I could be charged for up to a year. I wasn't charged, nor had I done anything illegal.....however I was so petrified of my name being in the paper or otherwise defamed, along with losing my rights for a night. To this day I've never even gotten a speeding ticket, getting thrown in the back of a cop car was not something I enjoyed.
Exactly, thanks for the clarification. Parents should be parents. I love my dad, called him on Father's Day and sent him a card. But I'll be damned if I allow him to scroll through pictures/posts of myself and friends.
My dad recently registerred on facebook and attempted to friend me. I denied his request, and when asked about it I told him "You are not my friend, you are my dad" Then again, I'm in my late 20's, and have my own house and family, which is probably a different scenario than the OP.
Say what? I know this is slashdot and all, but how can you compare the joys of real life to using a screen and keyboard. Sure you can use it to generate money, build a program or play with friends online. Compare these feats with something like building a bird house, competing in an adrenaline inducing physical activity, or playing with a new puppy. Sure if we were to live exclusively online, it would take away lots of life's dangers, but at the cost of a pretty diluted existance. And yes you can have online friends, but mine can help me move.
Why try to attract/retain kids in any major? Some jobs are just not for some people. Something tells me a different coding language/piece of hardware isn't going to retain kids that decide they don't like IT.
Not saying you're wrong, but talk to anyone that's owned both systems. 9/10 will take the fuel injection. It's hard to dial in a carb just right--then when you do it's not permanent. Then there's the tuning capabilities of fuel injection....
A bit hard to find, but this specific vulnerability is in "10.2.153.1 and earlier versions (Adobe Flash Player 10.2.154.25 and earlier for Chrome users) for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris, Adobe Flash Player 10.2.156.12 and earlier versions for Android, and the Authplay.dll component that ships with Adobe Reader and Acrobat X (10.0.2) and earlier 10.x and 9.x versions for Windows and Macintosh operating systems."
I've had a 2010 Camaro SS and now drive a 2009 Subaru STI......I don't know if you consider that higher end, but there is still a bit of a delay. It's treatable through tuning and aftermarket though.
Not to troll but my career is not my life, it's how I pay for my life. I want to spend the least amount of time to be able to do my job, then go home, race cars and plow my asian girlfriend.
Making money. My girlfriend uses it to promote her Etsy shop. Free, quick and easy. No that's not the name of her shop it's http://www.etsy.com/shop/funwithneedles/shameless plug to get me laid
They already do this. On *fun* cars you pay a gas guzzler tax at the time of purchase. Usually somewhere just under $2k if I remember correctly on my brother's Viper:)

That's quite a bit insensitive. All day at work I dream of driving my hobby cars (which tend to be hard on gas). I guess in turn I hope whatever you enjoy doing becomes prohibitively expensive as well.
I agree. I have a similar mindset as you and always get flamed for suggesting anything like this. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks a woman with 8 children does not deserve her own tv show.
I also practice what I preach. My female and I will not be reproducing.......ever. Instead we plan on using the extra money to purchase enjoyable cars and take more vacations therefore stimulating the economy.
Meanwhile my coworkers complain endlessly about babysitter woes.
I've read a few posts from beer snobs on other forums saying it's a travesty of justice and doesn't get the same pour. As an American Irish, I still very much like this beer.

So you're condescending the cutural norms of a different people? Way to go.

The most epic race series. Get this thing running and get it running NOW!
This looks very inspired by the masks doctors used to wear to treat plague victims.

Well put. If scientists are wrong, they can start over. If religious folks are wrong, their whole belief structure is out the window.
Has nothing to do with age, don't be fooled. Decent kids can be any age, just like not so decent ones.

I don't know about you, but if there was some dolphin in my tuna I'd pay a little more for it.

Just because Apple has a good chance to win, doesn't make this round of ridiculous lawsuits any more logical.
Did the goatse guy come in second?
