Are you serious? He free wrote a work of fiction (that'd be the "creative" part of creative writing), by your logic the following people should sent to a shrink for what they've written as works of fiction: Stephen King, Shakespear, Milton, Anne Rice, Kathy Reichs, Robert Rodriguez, Quentin Tarantino, Mario Puzo, Homer, myself, and just about every other person who has put pen to paper for the purpose of creating entertainment (published or unpublished).
although it is near White Sand Missle Range, Los Alamos, and NMSU-Las Cruces You forgot NM Tech in Socorro, UNM, Kirtland, Holloman, Ft. Bliss, and Sandia National Labs.
Okay, maybe it's hyphenated or a compound, but still. Even without price being a factor, I'm still pissed that I can't easily import all the cool shit I didn't get a chance to buy the last time I was in Asia.
Good point about "gamers." I find it really odd that the "hard-core gamer" title goes to the people who stick with the same type of games over and over. FPS, Madden, and WoW all have their place, but the guy who spent hours (days?) waiting to play Madden with purtier graphics isn't really my idea of a "hard-core gamer." Trolling ebay and the dearly departed lik-sang for an import title () that'll never reach the shores of your particular nation is more of my idea of a hard-core gamer.
that or the guy who died from playing too much in theR.O.K
Happens a lot in military basic training. Not always resulting in death, but there are a few cases each year that do. Rule was 1/2-3/4 canteen (which are about a quart) per hour not to exceed 12 canteens (or 3 gal.) per day (24 hour period, important since many of the problems came from downing the 3 gallons during the daylight hours). And that was in hot, humid weather in Texas with lots of physical activity.
and like it or not you DO NOT have a right to fly. the only god giving transportation right you have is your own body's locomotion. As the parent said, if you don't want to go through the process you don't have to, just like if the airline doesn't want to let you fly they don't have to. Airlines are private industry, they can choose their passengers, just like McDonald's is a private business and can refuse you service for not wearing shoes and/or a shirt. so the two simple solutions if you don't like the way that a private (read: not state owned) transportation business handles said business are 1). start your own and make your own rules or 2). walk and when you need to cross water... swim. You might want to pack a towel.
Ummm...AFAIK last year climatologists (and former VP Gore) predicted a stronger hurricane season than last year due to global warming, even though Philip J. Klotzbach and William M. Gray, et al. of Colorado State University found "no physical basis" to link the +0.5C change over the last thirty years and more intense hurricanes (abstract here). The NCDC's own statistics show a far more mild season than the one predicted a year ago. While there are predictions for the next five, ten, thirty years out, they are also predicting, at least in this field, for a year or less in the future. This won't falsify a theory, but it does allow for the tracking of predictions you were talking about.
Considering that the upper age limit of enlistment is currently 35 and that even at a younger age an E-4 in any branch can attend college (prior to and during service) and gain experience in network setup and troubleshooting that's kind of insulting. Also, I personally know that the list to go to the sandbox are primarily volunteer in the Air Force, until they have more slots than people, then the selection is made on skillsets (i.e. Weapons, Vehicles, supervising, etc.). Most of the time unless someone goes down for medical or family it's all volunteer. Just because the Army punishes their people by sending them to pound sand doesn't mean that the rest of the services do.
Pick any one of them. While not the greatest in literature, from the time my father gave them to me to read as a kid I have always loved tinkering with stuff.
This just makes an easy out for Microsoft in the future. Now they have the excuse that their partners will not sell equipment without the bundled software (IE, WMP, etc.).
The only possible upside is that this could lead to a stronger argument for allowing the user to actually choose their own OS instead of just between the Home and Pro version of Windows.
What am I thinking? Then the manufacturers would actually have to hire tech support staff to help with more than just Windows. Yeah, that's gonna happen.

New Mexico still only has one, 505(they have said we would get 575 or something, but i don't know of anyone who has one, yet).
Jack Thompson was already of Fox News today.
How does having the Florida Bar investigate you for ethical violations and filing disbarment procedures constitute "good standing?"
So we now have a VoIP phone WITH a touch screen? Don't tell Apple....or Cisco.
Lik-sang.

Then maybe the "stars" need to tighten the belt and trim a couple mil or so from their cut to help out the studio grunts.

apparently it is.

On topic, yes the parent poster is an asshole.
Not to support the information gathering, but I guess that would help stop the spread of disease.
Mostly writing before 1932.

Also, 13% against Neuromancer? WTF?

It sounds cool and all, but when it becomes work it gets really old, really quick. Not to mention how much it ruins recreational porn.
