Actually, unless you make being an asshole a crime, the assholes of the world will skate along the edges of the rules, because that is what assholes actually do to be assholes. They are the ones that ruin everything for everyone else. You make a new law, they will adjust and keep on going, skirting along the edges of the law. Eventually the laws take into account every last possible way to keep assholes from being assholes, but by then it is too late, because the rules and laws now affect normal behavior, and affect everyone anyways.

Here I'll explain for the Min Wage worker.

You can have a Big Mac, Fries, and a Coke for $8.50 made by a Min Wage worker
    OR
You can have a Gourmet Burger, steak fries and a Coke for $11:50, made by a Robot.

Yes, you can save 1/3 of the price by going to Mc D's. But you'll miss out on a better patty, better bun, better veggies, better condiments ....

Yes, they are coming to take your job. But consider this, if you can be replaced by a robot, perhaps you should be.

Moving away from actual employees is driving down the cost of products and services. If it is something so easy to do, that a robot can do it, then it wasn't valuable in the first place.

My suggestion for people today is to learn something that Computers really suck at, and/or requires real craftsmanship and/or which is hard work. Things that are difficult to attain are usually worth more than cheap trinkets everyone can have. Things of value are that way partly (mostly) because they are rare and desirable.

This is the hard truth about economics.
