Which is why conspiracy charges rarely require it, where you have to prove they intended to carry out the conspiracy.
Next time you're caught speeding, try telling the cop, "I didn't intend to speed" and see where it gets you.

It isn't the "first past post" that is the problem. The real problem is that we have a public primary to vote of private party candidates. Get rid of the Government sponsorship of political party voting, and you'll solve a great deal of the problem.
Imagine there are no party makers on any ballot in the Primary, and the top two winners make it to the general election. Imagine if California had to chose between Bernie and Hillary for President in a week, and Texas was voting between Trump and Cruz.Getting to 270 Electoral votes would be much much more difficult, but in the end, we'd have an election that actually represented the real values in America, and not the corrupt perverted version we have now, that has given us two candidates that 2/3 of Americans can't stand either.

If the answer is "no", then I assume I am free to ignore that request. Since they have no record of the request, then they have ability to fire me for not following said request. It is really easy to play that game, you just have to play along. The issue is, you have to play it 100% of the time.
And if they ever try to "Get" you, you play dumb, "I don't recall".
The other thing I find useful is sending an email with a "brief summary" of whatever meeting it was. If they don't respond, then that is tacit acknowledgement the summary is accurate, and it becomes official record. Any non-written "clarification" would be followed up with same.
The problem is, far too many people find sleazy as an acceptable practice in organizations, and actively participate in the sleaze. Don't participate and you have nothing to worry about.

I write extensively on my Android Smartphone. I can type as fast (or faster) using SWYPE keyboard as on a regular keyboard. I don't need a mouse. And I am not tethered to a desk, power, network cable. Writing 20 pages takes discipline, but that is the same regardless of the method of writing.
As a plus, I often use my voice to dictate large chunks of what I am writing, when I have a lot to say. It was very awkward at first, but it just flows now. And I can do that while driving, something I cannot do while typing on a keyboard or grabbing a mouse.

A lot of babyboomers (people older than me) have disconnected from the MSM (Newspapers, TV) completely. They aren't getting "news" at all, because they find it unreliable. The REAL people in love with MSM are the progressives who love pointing to the echo chamber of the MSM for all their own view points.
For instance, these people are the ones that cannot formulate a single coherent reason why Clinton should be president, except "she has a vagina". And it doesn't matter what WikiLeaks has on her (RUSSIANS!!!!). She could be involved in child sex slavery and they would still vote for her.
It is easy to tax money you have, not money you don't have.
My suggestion is this, tax money transfers out of the country. Followed by giving incentives to money flowing into our country. It isn't a tariff on goods coming into our country, at least directly, it is applied directly to the people / corporations transferring money over seas.
If my view is correct, the money flowing out would slow, and money flowing in would grow, and a growing economy would likely be a problem of growth, not sluggishness.
My daughter was on a radio program for a while, and used the "personality name" of "Ming"... everyone assumed she was of oriental descent. Her personality name was not based on being oriental either, it had other origins, similar to "Swimming" being shortened to "Ming".
People make all sorts of assumptions, and it is all prejudice. It is how the human mind works to fill in missing information. That process, is usually built out of experience (right or wrong, good or bad), and is a evolutionary design to keep us safe. People who ignore their prejudices and end up in problem situations are what we call... "Darwin Award Winners", It may work out for them for a while, but eventually ignoring your experiences will kill you.
