Why is it that a patent only gives you a few precious years to earn your money back while requiring a LOT more investment (for actual inventions) but copyrights seemingly keep getting extended until the heat death of the universe?
What amazes me most is when Mr. Reznor dresses up as a young female Korean go player and manages to play go at pro level.
Or when he explains general relativity, as an American Professor , even posing weekly problems about space-time!
Or when he plays various of the lates videogames at pro skill level, perfectly characterized as a young american!
Or when he teaches lockpicking opening challenge locks in under a minute!
That Trent guy is AMAZING!
(However, now that I know about his amazing transformism ability, I'm a bit scared about Trent's implication in redtube)
Seems incredible to me how one man can show millions of women how to do their make up just so. In his downtime he seems to play an awful lot of video games though.
Well. like you say space can get really warm, if you're in direct sunlight and if you don't reflect that heat. If you are not in that direct light it can get pretty fucking chilly. So you strap your recently deceased corpses to the dark of your ship and let them freeze there. I'm not sure on the timescales involved but once they are frozen you can then just, I dunno, wrap them in a tarp or pack them in a cavity space or something and with any luck they might stay frozen, probably. Even if they do thaw out they'll still absorb some radiation at least. They might get a bit funky but hey, no smells in space. The real question is how long would it take a body to decompose in a vacuum? I'm guessing longer than usual, especially if you keep the direct rays off it.
" How are you going to build that rocket on Mars to "loft 3x as much mass"?"
Got news for you. Mars is 1 order of magnitude smaller than Earth in mass, and the gravity is correspondingly lower. You could lift 3x payload off Mars for relatively the same fuel cost as 1X payload on Earth
Right, so you just repeated the statement he asked the question of. Nice one. So now that we've established you can lift 3 times the mass. How are you going to build the rocket?
That's like claiming Ireland is more prone to producing terrorists because of the IRA and Protestant militias. It's a logical fallacy.
It kinda is though. I get what you're saying but you seem to be implying that having terrorist organisations around (and they still very much are in NI) in no way encourages people to join them. It's not really a fallacy once you jump the step of x exists because x exists. These groups, whether, muslim, irish or whatever do exist and call more to themselves through various means. And a lot of the times most of their victims are their own kind.
Solo games cheat away, who cares, more power to you. It's multiplayer where it's a problem. I've not heard of people using fallout mods called cheaters. As far as I know they disable achievements because some of them are basically cheats but that's besides the point. I have heard of pc players moaning about Xbox users apparently 'stealing' mods though, if that's even a thing.
Why did it not do that on any of it's previous iterations?
We don't know. But if you have an idea, tell us:D
I did. Not the reason, just one of the bigger ones
You drop the middle/dark ages thing. They are the same thing, wiki even says so.
Yes, because it is written by people like you, who don't know the meaning:D of the word.
Dark, like a lot of words, has a lot of meanings. This is one of them
Called the dark ages because of all the terrible shit that went on,
Then name a list of ten things:D I doubt you find more than 4 which happened at random times and not over a course of 1000 years.
1.Crusades (we'll count them all as one)
2.Inquisition (again we'll count this as one thing)
3.Numerous religious based wars with Anglo-Spanish and others
4.Witch hunts
5.Burnings at the stake
6.Massive disease epidemics (helped to spread by ignorance as well as lack of good medicines)
7.Massive poverty amongst all but the most elite (I'll admit that is kinda similar to today, but a least we don't have to make bread from acorns and tree bark)
8.Good luck to you if were even accused of a crime and put in prison, or gaol or whatever.
9.As above but accused of heresy?......./shudders
10.And for fun. No forks, so lots of food eaten by hand which when combined with appalling sanitation and hygene is just bad news all around.
In the middle ages we had thriving literature, art and music, to name three things. Later architecture, glass manufacturing, mining etc. Explorations, the bill of rights, progress in ship crafting, european wide banking networks, free trade empires like "The Hanse".
The middle ages were not "dark ages" in the laymen term of "cruel times". And again: "Dark Age" means something completely different anyway.
I never said anything about the literature culture or art or anything else of the period. For sure lots of things of value came out of the period. Just not very much is the way of technology or science. Which isn't to say there was none of those.

Fucking hell man, forget I even said dark. Bottom line. Medieval times was a sucky one to be alive.
I was probably a bit hasty typing that and it kinda made me look like a twat, so, sorry about that. I think what it is, is that most of the big AAA blockbusters games are developed for console then ported over to pc because money. Games that are PC only do tend to be much more involved as they don't have the tight requirements to meet or stingy publishers to please. Mod support a plenty (cheating goes hand in hand with that though so it's a double edged blade), graphics options and much much more
I am primarily a xbox player but can quite honestly say my two main games with many more hours than anything are elite and bf4. Two games which very much started pc and then moved over and they do not suffer at all for it.
maybe if apprenticeships for robotics were common we would have jobs replaced in 15 years instead.
I doubt you'll see robots in mechanics and auto garages or the the trades (which is where most apprenticeships apply their focus where I'm from) anytime soon. Robots may be good at making shit but they ain't too great at fixing them (yet)
You realize Hillary is responsible for probably over a million deaths and a good part of Europe being overrun ?
When did a good part of Europe get overrun? I must've missed that part.
And content is based on stolen public domain.
Why is it that a patent only gives you a few precious years to earn your money back while requiring a LOT more investment (for actual inventions) but copyrights seemingly keep getting extended until the heat death of the universe?
Because Disney aren't in the patent game.
Lol that's apple for you. Being deliberately obtuse. Good to know though so cheers.
$10,000? That sounds like the most bullshitty claim I've heard in a long while.

The other 4 just build them there.
Can you cut and paste files yet?
Database hacked into and contents dumped in 5...4...3...

Why would you freeze the corpses? And how would you keep them frozen once outside?
I think the plan is you put them on there fresh and the extreme low temperatures take care of the freezing part.

Achievements on consoles ain't worth shit. I mean more spawn any item, super weapons type cheats rather than noclip and other console stuff.

(insects will simply adjust their gate and attempt to carry on)
I don't know how that will help, unless their new gait helps them swoop under it or something :p
Actually, ignore that. I didn't see the post you were responding to and thought you were having a dig at the title.
Why genderise it? I'll have good humanners...
"responsibilities that come with sticking your dick in another human (or vice-versa)"
Forget the robot parenting. I want to know how you stick your human in another dick.
Nothing is impossible with the appropriate application of force. You might need some kind of lube for this one though.
Could you at least try to give me black coffee?
...that's a bucket.
I'll thertainly try, sir
Thorry
That is true, I don't have one of the remotes but the pad does turn off after 15 mins and needs a few seconds to switch back on.
what won't be replaced by a robot in 20 years?
maybe if apprenticeships for robotics were common we would have jobs replaced in 15 years instead.

Generation Snowflake earning their name.
