More importantly, carrying a gun on my person is so that I am not reliant on the police to solve my problems. I find myself in a bad situation where deadly force is required, I'd rather have my gun than wait on the police to come and save me.
This is the thing. You guys either need a shitload more guns or a shitload less. I'm sure any reasonable person that was armed would do what they could to stop these situations but there just doesn't seem to be any around when this shit goes down. I'm not aware of any of these events that have been stopped by an armed bystander. That's not to say it doesn't happen ever, just doesn't make the news where I live, if anyone has any examples please share.
There is no comparison to chrome because it's not on there. The only other browsers are dodgy as shit. Six open tabs isn't exactly asking a lot from a browser these days.
How would he 'exfiltrate' the data? It flies half way around though a series of tubes as teeny tiny little bits of electricity that get written down by his computer really fast as they come in (if we're really being pedantic). How is that taking?
It's not taking because it's still where it was. It copying because as well as that one there's now this one. In fact if you think about it it's closer to bringing, the opposite of taking.
Not that I can compare it but my lumia 950 is always running dry, despite being on power saver from 100% and background data etc off. Let's just have a quick look at battery usage over last 24 hours.

It's not even as if I'm a heavy. About average I'd say maybe less and I only ever really keep a maximum of six tabs open, but still edge drinks up that power and doesn't have anything to show for it.
No, it doesn't. Stealing means taking something that does not belong to you. If you steal my ideas, you've stolen them.
You are basically saying "I don't believe intellectual property is property, and I will redefine the language so that in the way I use it it is not property."

I don't buy this, at all.
When you have an idea, that is as close as you can get intellectual property. That information is in your head and is yours. As soon as you tell anyone, without taking any steps to protect said information, or at least it's use (but that's something different) it's in their head too. You can make no claim or assertion as to what a person does with the information in their heads. You can make all the claims you want but there's no way at all to prove ownership, or that you were the originator of the idea, or that no one else had had it before (thusly being the actual IP owner). You can and should protect your ideas where you can if appropriate. What you shouldn't do is blab them and claim that it's your intellectual property because that shit don't fly.
even with such a small training set, a human can easily understand the traits of the different houses, and often recognize which house a new character is in before being told.
It's pretty obvious to all but the smallest children. That gryffndor is good, slytherin is bad and the other two are unimportant and just there to make the numbers.
Only someone living under a rock wouldn't know what a Potterverse sorting hat was. It's a very good series enjoyable by all ages.
From the context I'm going to guess it's a hat that sort things. Please don't state opinions as facts. It's a kids series, enjoyed by kids and a little bit older kids who were kids when it started. It's about on par with the twilight 'saga'.
No, they're talking about drug testing so the rich folk can pay less tax. Don't want to do it or fail, then pony up your full tax amount like everyone else and fuck off.

Do you honestly believe that more gun-free zones and laws would've stopped him?
Do you think having little to no access to guns makes it harder to commit a shooting? If you're answer is anything but yes you're a fucking moron.
You're an idiot.
YES THE GUN WILL DEFEND YOUR PRIVACY.
How? Are you going to shoot your phone and computers, then go on a rampage to murder all the servers?

DDoS isn't hacking.
That post was about the concept of intellectual property itself, not the merits of theft vs unauthorised copying.

He took a copy of the code without permission. That is stealing.
He made a copy of the code. Unless you're insinuating there were two folders and he cut/took one leaving them one folder?

The common definition requires taking something away so that the original owner no longer has accessed to it.
[citation needed]
The common definition does not specify that at all. It is just 'taking something from the owner'.
Yeah, and if I copy your whatever, I haven't taken it.
He stole the time and the option of Valve to release their code as they pleased.
Someone needs to fucking steal episode 3 then!

She has sold state secrets and favors for campaign money,
Reagan paid Iran to kidnap Americans. But it's only bad when the Democrats do it, right?
Is he running again?

It's a kids thing, not a geek thing. Give it a rest.
Because they apparently have the sense not to get run over by their own cars
They can kill him off in the next one, in a "transporter accident", yeah, that's the ticket.
Sir, Chekov's dead. He was shouting something about nuclear wessels.
So how do you get out of your car and get behind it enough that it's able to run you down and kill you through gravity alone?
It's the government that takes your money idiot. And once they've done that you have no claim to it or any say in how or where it's spent.

Dial up? Is this Seattle, America or Africa?
ohhh yes, a nice big cow with lovely, lovely udders!
