Ok, so they can sync with a bunch of other shit and transfer files among themselves and there's a bunch of different profiles that only really present issues if you try to cross apple with non apple or use a lot of bluetooth. I've learned that. What was it about that original statement that provoked such anger about not being intricately familiar with Bluetooth technology? Because it was definitely more anti apple than Bluetooth. If the post was about the video capabilities on a mac and I mentioned they don't support .avi by default and .mov is a pain in the ass to work with on a pc would you go off on one about codec design and how I just need to understand quicktime better?

You can't say adding to the cost is an issue when idevices are considerably more expensive than a load of other devices which do have one. It's a thing so it obviously has a cost, but the cost would be negligible and wouldn't affect the end price.

Seeing as you don't have one this is how it works. You put in the biggest SD card you have. Music, videos photos etc all get saved to that. All your apps install to the phone. You don't get the option to install to SD off the store and all the phones are at least 8/16gb anyway and you don't need the double space thing. You can probably do it but that's an advanced user thing. No one has a bunch of sd cards with a few apps on this one, some songs on that one constantly rotating one. You use it to cheaply expand the storage so you can use it as music/video player. If you're happy steaming everything all the time then more power to you but personally I'm not and if I don't have to carry a separate mp3 player then I'm happy

Thanks for confirming you know nothing about libertarianism.

Libertarians tend to be quite liberal socially - get government out of banning abortions, get government out of licensing marriages, get government out of the business of spying on citizens. These are all quite clearly outlined in the libertarian party's platform. Most of their policies stem from the fundamental precept that government is not the solution to all problems, and government should stay out of the business of solving problems unless there is a pressing need for protection of somebody's individual rights - e.g., most libertarians will agree that a police force and court systems are necessary to provide people redress when their rights are infringed upon by another.

This often leads them to the conclusion that government spending needs to be dramatically reduced, because government itself is too big, and has insinuated itself into too many areas of our lives.

As a foreign observer, isn't that pretty much why America came to be? To get government and other interfering types to leave them the fuck alone?
