  1. And here's an address down the street from me that you can check with centurylink.com to back-up your post:

    " 6200 53RD AVE NE, SEATTLE, WA, 98115"

CenturyLink shows "Speeds up to 3 Mbps are available in your area!" but they can't get DSL to work at all. The cable wiring on my street is so bad analog used to work poorly, but they disabled that so you have to have a cable box which of course doesn't work at all. Getting cable Internet to work is just hopeless.

Wait a second? Isn't seattle supposed to be one of your big tech cities? Why is the internet so shockingly bad?

  2. It is so simple that hipster cannot fathom it!

The answer is not apple, it's so simple everyone who isn't an idiot can see it.

  3. "someone with a Mac, iPhone, and iPad would need three different headphone adapters."

That is incorrect. They would need a set of headphones with a normal 3.5 jack (Mac), and two adapters (iPhone, iPad).

    Much better.

  4. You should try having some empathy for other humans, instead of being so self-absorbed.

Empathy for the suffering they entail charging their much more convenient headphones?

    You spelled less wrong.

  5. One pair of Bluetooth headphones, there, problem solved.

    and different problems introduced.

Yeah, plugging in a pair of Bluetooth headphones at the end of the day ... what an unbearable burden.

What about when they die mid trip? Or you want to watch a video and the audio is out of sync because your headphones have a bunch of signal processing to do?

...and go with Bluetooth instead. TBH I'm not sure that's a bad idea.

It is, but go ahead and pay more for an inferior product. That's what apple really wants.

  8. As a compromise, prison officials offered to download the already-purchased music to a CD, and then mail that CD to someone outside the prison. For a $25 fee.

Is Apple as accommodating when you chose to quit using iTunes?

Will your local cable company burn your 'legally purchased' movies to DVD when you switch to Sattelite TV?

Will either of those forcibly stop their service to sign you up to a new you that you have to pay for all over again?

  9. Prison is supposed to be to rehabilitate people, not turn them into life long criminals.

But when you have a prison system that is run for profit they have no incentive to rehabilitate anyone. You say life long criminal, they say repeat customer.

  10. The anonymous guy is the worst kind of scum.

If he was working for me, I'd do my best to make sure alligators feasted on him, while he was still alive.

Do you not think that maybe that is part of the problem? :|

Republicans, chosen by Trump. Shallow state not deep state. 37 Republicans have turned on him so far and resigned or been sacked.

But yeh, at the core of it is the vote. Americans didn't vote for him, and so they don't feel any need to go along with his random bullshit.

If Trump really wants Hilary locked up, he should hire her.

I think you're the one with the flawed understanding. Firstly of what I said, secondly of what happened then and thirdly what is happening now. Not 'exactly' the same approach but basically the same strategy. Demagoguery and populism, promises to make the country great again, 'alternative' facts, shouting down and insulting opposition, trying to control the press etc etc. Face facts, Trump is a wannabe dictator in a system that won't really allow it to happen so he's just going to try anyway. If that's what you support then that's fair enough I guess but at least be man enough to admit it.

The German economy was lagging behind in the 30s and history shows how well the "completely new approach" worked.

Hmmmm, I wonder what earlier event could have been responsible for that. And the "completely new approach" wasn't new at all and is basically the exact one Trump is using to great effect right now.

  16. What is this 2008? Apple Music gives you more songs than you could possibly listen to in a lifetime for $10 a month, with new music magically appearing in your phone every Thursday night when the clock strikes 12. Who wants to waste their time on some fucking torrent site or following dead links on some other download site?

This attitude right here is the problem. Just shut up, pay your subs and listen to this crap.

  17. Anyone can paint a wall. Artists produce something unique. You can scoff and comment about music sounding the same, etc, but thatâ(TM)s just your age showing.

Apart from the majority of pop songs being written by two or three people and then just sold to various pretty faces to 'sing'. Please don't insult actual creative talent by calling them artists.

Windows 7 extended support ends in January 2020, less than 18 months away. Developing for one OS simplifies the code base and lets the dev take advantage of newer features - like how certain Adobe products can use Directx12 and render on both the dedicated and integrated GPU.

And that's fair enough to a degree but when the two options are upgrade your hardware or keep paying monthly for software that will never be updated (what was one of their purported benefits of the subscription model? Oh yeah, never be out of date again). It's not like you can just buy a new copy of cs6 and use that. Maybe top level pros need all the latest bells and whistles but most people just don't. CS6/win7 is a stable combo and does everything I need. Why should I pay over the odds to keep everything at the highest numbers and deal with all the issues that ensue?

You are whats wrong with it.

Newer does not mean better. Maybe people don't want to use an OS that tries its damndest to suck up as much of your data as possible. Forces upgrades on itself and is generally is user hostile.

  20. Same. CS6 does everything I need it to and there is nothing wrong with win7.

That's why he's only trying and not succeeding.
