  1. In the article Ali Montag ends it with a mention of the $7 Avocado Toast money too. But yeah, Kevin O'Leary is a wine connoisseur and also keeps an extensive collection of artisanal olive oils.

  2. I'll keep using both, thanks. on The Rise of Digg.com · · Score: 1

I'd wager there are a large number of us who check both sites. Digg is fast and more varied; but more crap and dupes get through. Slashdot is picky and slow; but usually offers more depth and less garbage makes past the moderators. Kevin Rose himself said Digg was inspired after his interview for Tech TV with CmdrTaco; he thought there should be a slashdot where the users are the only moderators and submit whatever they want; which is a neat model. I find the bit about 'digg users don't click adds' a little dubious.. it's mostly the same crowd.. I find it hard to believe slashdot users are any different than digg users on average.

I dislike micro$oft as much as the next slashdotter, BUT handwriting analysis! Why not check his bio-rhythmn and astrological correspondences while you're at it. I bet even Bill still has enough geek in his soul to laugh at the morons who think his handwriting revealed anything other than the colour of ink he was using.

No need for apologies, I don't think you stepped on my toes. "nacis" was the only other spelling error that I noticed, but I'm not a spelling/grammar Nazi myself so I might have missed some. Sorry for being a smartass, I hadn't had my coffee yet. Anyway, I've never heard of the GNAA before so I actually learned something from my smartass, supercilious questions, how ironic ;)

I was going to point out that it was not ironic myself and was happy to see someone had already taken care of it for me. I'm fairly certain that your insanely bad spelling is a troll for the spelling and grammar Nazis you no doubt find equally vexing. Can you expand on your hierarchy of trolls? What kind of troll is next up your list from "irony nacis"[sic]? Why do you say "lately"? Was there something worse than irony Nazis before? Did they die when you asked it of them?

  11. The New Jeopardy on The Man Who Knew Too Much · · Score: 5, Interesting

Firstly, I don't think he's cheating. People we're speculating on it the last time he was /.'d but he's just under too much scrutiny. The elimination of the five win rule set the stage for this new form of Jeopardy and I can't see how it can change from here unless the reinstate the rule. Ken will stay on top until someone like Ken but better comes along, and it stands to reason that whoever can beat him will remain unbeatable for a long run until some equally rare triv-master knocks them out. I noticed that last night when he referred to himself as a 'nerd' Trebek quickly insisted he was anything but; He used to seem more antagonistic to him. It's like Alex has Stockholm syndrome now that his show has been taken hostage by Ken. I wonder if the people who select the questions will deliberately start stacking the questions to exploit his weakspots or maybe they won't given the ratings boost he's bringing them.
    Anyway, here's to Ken!

I don't understand why you think you would need anything more. A TV is the only teacher your kids will need and it will leave you plenty of free time. As for those whining about the lack of social interaction when students are homeschooled; puhlease.. they will learn everything they need to know from the masters on the TV. The only problem might the be lack of physical activity but this is easily remedied with a gaming console.

Not to mention this weird BS about industrial-parks in SanFernando being a mecca for porn. Typical shallow dumbass media hype worthy of 20/20. Seriously though.. I'd be happy to have a nice keyboard/terminal combo I could take from room to room to outside as long as it's way cheaper than a laptop.
From an IT POV I guess it's nice to know people won't 'accidentally' spill Jolt on to their MB just to get an upgrade or put that virii laden diskette their brother-in-law gave them over Christmas in the FD anymore.
