...humans are arrogant to think that our presence on this planet for, what, 200,000 years or so, compared to how long the planet has been around, several billion years....
Agreed, I'm currently running Windows 7 on a Tecra M5, has this nice lil sticker that says "Designed for Windows XP", and runs better then Vista every did on this laptop.
The act of sharing files with other is people is not what is wrong. The legal part comes in on what is being shared. Napster was allow its users to share copyrighted material. That material was not copyrighted by Napster but by other people, and they had not been grant the right to do that. Now, this bring up the question of file sharing through other means. The means is not the problem, its the content. If you have the right to share a file and give it to people, then there is no problem. If the file is copyrighted by someone, then its illegal. This is no different from software pricacy of games or applications or operating systems. Now this site deals in alot of open source software, but I'll bet that 90% of the member have a peice of software that they didn't pay for.
Since noone has read the news release here it is..... (I can tell by idiotitc comments made here that noone has) Media Advisory 3DFX DELAYS VOODOO5 SCHEDULE Date: May 24, 2000 What: 3dfx Interactive® Inc. (NASDAQ: TDFX) today announced that it has temporarily delayed the release of its Voodoo5(TM) 5500 AGP. The company is taking this action to ensure that it meets its own high standards for product quality. The company discovered that the Voodoo5 may be experiencing field failure rates at very low levels in certain configurations. The company is conducting further tests to determine whether a problem actually exists. 3dfx anticipates this action will delay product availability between seven and 14 days. "We believe that this affects only a small number of configurations, but we feel that this is the safest thing to do," said Randy Schussler, vice president of operations at 3dfx Interactive. "We're taking this action to ensure that our customers receive a high quality product that exceeds their expectations."
Well, after reading the articles surrounding this case, I can see most of you have no clue. France is not trying to tell Yahoo what it can do. They had been given two months to block access to the particular server for people who live in France. Now, having the government block sites is bad enough, but this is not a case of the French government trying to dicate Yahoo's content, they just didn't want their country to access it. Debate that....
Personally, since Company X was unable to finish a project they were hired to do, it would be a breach of contract. Thus the contract is null and void.
Just head over to your local Undernet or DALnet IRC server..... there are enough rooms with people sharing and swapping MP3 to make your head spin... Far more then there are on Napster, I'd wager...

iDrac is shit? What part of being able to log in and reboot a computer out of band is shit?
I can't speak for iDRAC, but having used DRAC4 and HP's ILO system. I'll take ILO any day.
The BB series are considered Commercial IP Network cameras, but are excellent, used them at a pervious employer.
Would recommend checking out the Residential IP Network Cameras from Panasonic, most of those run around 200$.
Just line the border with goalie nets.

I was thinking the same thing, who trusts email for that type of notification. Should have been hand delivered and signed for.
