Personally, I think it's a ploy, scare the consumer into being glad that Apple took mercy on them and "looked out for their interests." (Hah.) But, if not, a 32GB iPhone 4 holds value like nobodies business, so I'll recoup the cost of whatever top of the line model is available for an Android handset. If they do indeed pull it. But I'm not ready to believe they'd take such a step backwards until it's actually gone. Then, I voice my opinion with my dollars.
Good luck with that. You should also tell them how the mean and tricksy the police are for saying "Hey, I'm a 13-year-old girl" when they -really weren't-. Gasp. You were suckered right into soliciting sexually graphic conversations, they practically haxxored your Gibson with such coercion like "Hey, I'm a kid" and "I think Spongebob is great."
Now, how quickly does it play Netflix movies? What's it's Hulu Plus app like, does it work nicely?
You don't say.
Seriously, for shame. I really do want an Android phone. It just isn't as functional yet. Another year or two of maturity and I think I'll finally get to switch.
Seagate has had a 3TB drive on the market for -months.- They were the first on the scene, in fact. How'd you miss this? They have a 64MB cache, 7200rpm SATA II / USB 2.0 / 3.0 external drive, with the internal drive version of it with a new, custom firmware to allow for old BIOS installation hitting the shelves at the end of March. You can take it out of the enclosure and use it internally if you really want.
That's not "the only two." That just makes Seagate "the only ones that waited for extra dev time to make it widely compatible for non-techies."
Hennepin and Dakota county courtrooms are a freaking mess. I'm so proud of our Minnesota "justice." I'm glad I live a couple counties south. Far enough to not personally be afflicted, but close enough to hear the horror stories.
Raid is not a backup, FYI. And if you bought them all at the same time from the same place, chances are, when one finally dies from old age, more than one may perish simultaneously.
One full of HOORAH, LOVE THE GOVERNMENT! and liking AMERICA: WE'LL PUT A BOOT IN YER ASS, but without many friends attached.
And then you'll have your other (perhaps similar) Facebook page, but with your real friends and activities.
That's not misleading, they wanted your Facebook login. They got it. No biggie.
Yeah, sitting under a glass dome has the tendency to act much like a magnifying glass. There's a reason they didn't take off in the 1950's when the fad first hit.
I love the look too, but it's neither safe, practical or comfortable.
And no, my car roof supports don't bother me, because if they did, I'd take my 1100 Sabre out instead and have no worries at all.:3
It's not "in the middle of the viewfield." I have the same standard perspective as anyone else. I just happen to -also- have peripheral vision. It's no more interrupting after about 5 minutes of adjusting, than it is to have the roof supports of your car 'blocking your viewfield' either.
It's particularly hilarious in FPSs. Sniping will get me banned on suspicion of 'hax' on a regular basis, just because there's NO way to sneak up on me or go around me. It's a lot of fun. Their tears of sorrow are delicious.
My Tri-monitor Eyefinity at 5760x1200 sez, why just one monitor?
With a $250 Radeon HD 5870, new intensive games like Need for Speed : Hot Pursuit look freaking awesome.
If anything, Nvidia's unwillingness to support multi-monitor gaming without SLI says to me that their cards don't handle larger resolutions nearly as nicely as ATI cards.
Maybe... But last I saw, Ford Motor Company wasn't liable for drunk drivers that use their vehicles to drink and drive, resulting in death or destruction of property. This makes me think that engineering a product doesn't necessarily make you liable for someone that breaks it apart.
Now, if your product was a security software, and you advertised it to supposedly prevent this...
Hah. And here -I- was excited that fighter jet pilots would finally be able to watch YouTube and download torrents are amazingly high speeds with low latency, while doing those boring maneuvers.
Yup, that's my point. I can't even tie in a car analogy to make it any clearer. =P
You raise a good point. A girl traveled almost 1,200 miles to visit me. High five?
That's a great strawman argument, and good luck with that, but I'm not falling for it. Hitting up vulnerable kids on the internet is NOT arms trade.
Hey, right around when my contract is up. Sweet.

I just found it amusing. =)
Technically piracy, in the eyes of the companies. But an equally fantastic alternative to actual piracy.

As a sage person once stated, only the IRS could bring down Capone.

More power to the people, eh?
What could possibly go wrong!!

Right. And the color yellow is more secure than the color blue.
"what role should Amazon and other public-cloud service providers play in preventing customers from using their services to commit crimes?"
The same role that Ford Motor Company is responsible to fill in preventing the use of it's vehicles as Getaway cars from scenes of crimes.
Not necessarily. If you run a red light to hit and kill someone with a car, you're going to have multiple charges as well.
