Bacon lovers of the world, rejoice! Or at the least take solace that your beloved pork belly may be better for the environment in terms of greenhouse gas emissions than the lettuce that accompanies it on the classic BLT.
This is according to a new study by researchers at Carnegie Mellon University who found that if Americans were to switch their diets to fall in line with the Agriculture Department's 2010 dietary recommendations, it would result in a 38 percent increase in energy use, 10 percent bump in water use and a 6 percent increase in greenhouse gas emissions.
In spite of Star Wars success, Disney is down hard. DIS in now around $108, it was over $122 a few months back.
ESPN is a huge part of Disney's revenue, and profits, and ESPN has been losing subscribers since 2010.
Whenever a stock analyst wants Disney cheaper, they just trumpet the "news" that ESPN is losing subscribers, and Disney gets trounced. This usually happens about two months.
Disney laid off a few hundred. Companies like Microsoft, and IBM, have replaced US workers with H1B by the tens of thousands, and it has been going on for decades.
I thought people people begrudgingly used MS, because that is what they have at work, or it's the only platform that ran their apps, or Apple is too expensive.

These days, maybe Jews would be safer if they were mixed in to the population of a secular western nation. That way there would be no centralized target.
Palestinians have been offered statehood several times, they always turn it down. BTW: there never was a nation of Palestine, and it never concerned "Palestinians" before.
This conflict is not about land, or statehood, or anything like that. It is about Muslims hating Jews.
Muslims are deeply offended by the idea of Jews having a country where they can live in peace.
Israel has demonstrated that they are perfectly willing to live, in peace, with Arabs, or anybody. Israel gives Palestinians full citizenship rights. Palestinians can vote, own land, serve in the military, or hold public office. Other Muslim nations, like Saudi, would never give Palestinians such rights.
By contrast, Hamas has it written into their charter that they consider it their duty to kill every Jew on earth.
Manufacturing jobs are long gone. Think about how much easier it is to offshore IT jobs. No physical stuff to store, ship, inventory, etc. just zap files back and forth.

Problem with that strategy is: there is always a new crop of kids.
This is made worse by the fact that kids, often, lose interest in their new toys by the next day.
