I'm not a musician and I agree. I like a lot of songs and can listen to one a lot of times, but I'd go crazy if I listened to the same cd every day for 3 months.
Life is more than working 22 hours a day dude. If I can get up and go work out for an hour and then go back to work, it makes me feel better and makes my employer feel really good, since I am back to work sooner.
Did you read the submission? he can't install Knoppix ( although using the word install is a bit wrong) so suggesting that he use a LiveCD distro, won't work.
