And all it takes is for the building to catch fire, me to be hit by a truck, or a tornado to sweep through town. Sure, something can go wrong, but I prefer to focus on the fact that things are good *now* rather than worry "how long can this last"
A good philosopy - I try to follow it every day. but right now, I'm a little more concerned on how I'm gonna pay my bills. I guess I should go play with some Nerf til the power company shuts of my lights.
yeah yeah. All it takes is one manager to get fired or a new management team to come in. Trust me, I had this same kind of set up ( we were Home Health). Profitable and all that. Yet 20% were laid off right after the end of the fiscal year.
Oh yeah, I mean if they offered the entire series tomorrow on DVD I'd buy it ina heart beat, but this VHS certain episode crap is stupid.
I have most of the episodes on VHS ( I refuse to record the Hallmark channel episodes as they've been cut badly.) but a few I am missing ( like the Thanksgiving episode.).
This isn't 1999, and some people who are qualified and didn't work for a dotcom still can't find jobs, even after 7 months. Maybe I am bitter since a group of programmers I worked with used such toys and escaped the lay off. ( Well okay I'm not bitter, they're not really programmers, just asp and VBscript monkies.)
But anyway, play your games, but don't be surprised when suddenly your revenue per employee number is just not cutting it for the quarter and that's the reason they give when they 'right-size', even though your department has been trying to hire 10 people for 3 months.
Well where are they going to get the money for this kind of thing? I'm not spending my own money to buy a comp for that sort of thing. Also, what if the comp breaks... who is to blame and how are they going to replace it?:P
That's a nice plan you have but more and more colleges are including the cost of laptops etc in the tuition, so yes you will buy a PC and you may not like it, but they don't care.
My favorite dead horse to beat but.....Say Tivo goes out of business tomorrow and right before they send a code that wipes out your Tivo making it useless.
I have a friend from Philly who claims his Singular service is great. Too bad he has to call me back 3 times in 10 minutes because of dropped calls. And don't get me started on the fading.
just a question, from what input does the satalite generate the data to send to the GPS reciever? Or how does the satalite no where to send the data? Odds are, your Receiver is also transmitting something.
Well with that reasoning, my FM radio should be transmitting too.
I have a Playstation 2 ( with the linux dev kit) and a Debian box in the same room, that I want to share with a KVM ( USB would be ideal but I'll take PS/2 if needed). The thing is I was told that KVM's do not work with Sync-on-Green monitors ( which the Playstation 2 needs). Is this totally true and if so are there Sync-on-Green converters?

Today you'll not buy HDTV but what happens in 2006 when all transmission is HDTV and you only have an analog TV?
I'd guess that some people will have HBO and the like. If not why do I care that TNT is showing teh Matrix?
If the company was so great why bring in VC's?

yeah okay. Because nothing keeps HR etc from reducing headcount to raise revenue per employee like a good game of "shoot a rubber band at me."

sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen or for your manager to fire you because
A) You're wasting time
B) It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Why I want VCD. To place TV shows on. TV is low quality so a VCD won't be a disappointment.
buzzword overload buzzword overload.
Northern Exposure. Sadly it'll be off air soon, I'd like to have it all on VCD.
oh, Charlie Dimmock is a goddess. Long Live Ground Force
Taco is just an employee, all the money goes to VA Software.

Spamcop is okay. But I still get 3 or 4 daily spams from customoffers.com.

ummmmm hello. It's a GPS RECEIVER, not a TRANSMITTER.

He's doing things NOW. some people can't afford to wait. I'd say AMD wooped a little ass.
