Blizzard banned me for using the N52. All I did was make some swap macros and bind them to the N52.. I even use the N52 with DAOC and I never got banned for it.
Personally, the people reviewing this are complete morons.. but I guess when you have 6million+ subscribers they don't particularly care about a few here and there that get banned.
What a shame really, I had 5 level 60s on a PVP server too. I haven't touched a MMO since Novembe 2005 (and glad too).
First off, the benches that intel provided are fishy. Using a motherboard that doesn't even recognize the FX-60? This just stinks of marketing poop and anand just stepped into it. Is there a benchmark of a crossfire/nvidia sli setup using a FX-60 and F.E.A.R.?
I have a paypal debit/mastercard card and I must say I absolutely love it. I could get a check card from my bank but they don't offer me 1.5% cashback like paypal does and I would hate to lose my check card. With the paypal card I can easily keep at least 120-180 in my account at all times to pay for stuff when I don't want to use real cash.
I'm definitely going to buy a few shares from them
I have unrelenting sympathy for the people and the families affected by this. This is not only a wakeup call but actually a call to arms to those who are against the people of the U.S.
I was there today at work, roughly 10 miles from the world trade center when it all went down. I was on the roof of our office watching the whole thing. The buildings disappeared in front of my eyes. I saw with my own two eyes the second plane slamming into the second tower. I almost cried and shook. Later on I heard reports of people jumping out of windows to escape fiery deaths. If you were at ground zero, you could pick out the people falling.. is that the father who wouldn't be coming home to dinner? Or how about that girl, will she make tonight's date?
Whoever had done this accomplished nothing except ruining and killing thousands of lives and pissing off millions of people. If you think that the U.S. was not very popular in the Middle East, think of what will happen to them here in our backyard. This attack is magnitudes larger than Pearl Harbor and we were at war back then. If the Bush administration calls something other than war then there will be a huge backlash against arabs and people of the middle east here.
For what it's worth, the middle east should be turned into a sandbox. But something was sombering today, if they had nuked NYC, I would've been dead. I was due smack dab between the two towers at 8:40 this morning but I woke up late for work
and HardOCP if it goes down, they never offered anything substantial and on top of that their reviews are... well they aren't. It's like me describing my walk to the mailbox.
I hope the other sites survive though, VE, sugashack, and telefragged offered a lot throughout the community.

A couple months back Toms hardware posted a review of Gainwards CardEXPERT video card which had a 400mhz DDR clock and 200mhz clock The card blew many out of the water including the newly released GTS.

Not too long after that review nVidia expressed their concerns about the card and told them that they cannot ship it in volume. Back then I didn't think it would not have much impact on nVidia, now I know why.
Anyone else notice a trend in increased costs for a 3d card these days? When released TNT = $150 and GF2 Ultra = $500?
I just tried out OGG by encoding an MP3 file from my Moby CD (Porcelain). MP3 was sized at 5.64mb @ 192kb/s and the OGG file was a nice 3.64mb. I saved 2mb there! Encoding from MP3 to OGG took about 2min on my Athlon Thunderbird 700 @ 950 For arguments sake lets say that encoding to OGG saves 2mb per file then I will save about 300mb! (150 files x2)
As for sound quality I noticed no difference between 192kb/s from the MP3 format to the 119kb/s from the OGG format.
I feel that we have a winner here and it will just be a little longer before that OGG will be dominant over MP3 if not its equal. I just hope they get the support they need.
OT: I did find a small and annoying bug in the plugin player. When you are playing an OGG file and try to peruse the playlist it will always bring you back to the song that is playing. You'll have to stop the track to cycle through the other songs, no biggie though.
..when it comes to the price/performance ratio. I got a Slot A 700Mhz Tbird and I'm running it at 977Mhz. An equivelant P3 would cost at least 200 to 250 dollars more (comparing a p3-933 and a k7-950 TBird). Not only that, AMD is really aggressive with prices now. $470 for a gig chip? Compared to a $1,199 premium for an Intel P3 @ 1 gig. Which makes more sense?
Who gives a crap? Really! Oh no! nVidia did THIS and THAT to me and now I won't get free cards so I'm going to publicly whine about it
