Why would any end user care at all about the CLI? They want an easy to use interface, and a CLI is exactly not that, especially in the realm of mobile apps, possibly the largest growing sector of software development these days
Good music production is an art in itself, just because there's an overwhelming amount of shitty and popular hip hop doesn't mean that the whole genre sucks. Even producing a 'shitty' hip hop beat takes more effort than you're giving it credit for; unless you're already a producer/engineer in another genre there's a lot of material to learn before it even sounds presentable by generic hip hop standards.
This is why video game services like Steam are successful, but this still doesn't apply to movies and TV shows which are predominantly the topic of this thread.
Of course voting in elections is important. I'm just saying that voting with your wallet is more effective right now, as it can actually influence the decision of someone with more influence than you a lot more easily. It's a start. Eventually, the politicians should be accountable directly to the people.
This is a fair point, not sure how to answer it properly. The middle class is supposed to be the biggest group of consumers, so businesses would want to cater to their interests. Since big business is what basically owns the government, the politicians will become second hand representative of a large part of the populace. Maybe I'm being way too optimistic though, but I like to keep hope.
Voting with your wallets is much more effective then the fake choice presented in elections. Hopefully, people will finally realize that in today's world, it's the best way to start making a difference.
I like how they describe the Protoss as 'Photosynthetic Aliens' compared to the Terran as 'Humans' and the Zerg as 'Insectoid Aliens'
I mean, I guess that is part of the lore that Protoss photosynthesize, but definitely not the first thing that comes to mind.
More like 'Super Advanced Aliens' vs 'Super Primal Hive Insect Aliens"
Well then, might as have an amazing life, and try to do as much good while it matters to someone, right? Or would you rather just sulk and be depressed that you won't live forever?
This is definitely a possibility, but from interacting with supposed participants in Anonymous and such attacks, I'm more inclined to believe that these security firms are really that incompetent. Maybe a well established sense of cynicism at the U.S. government is contributing to my judgement there xD
They do it because they think it's funny. For the lulz, or whatnot.
I certainly see the humour in a bunch of mostly inexperienced people cracking into the data of a security firm.
If legal action was taken against individuals involved, I wouldn't be able to guess if any future attacks would be happening.
Responding to the first line you read and don't even bother reading the rest of the comment?
Then telling someone to grow up?
Need I say anything more?
It's often as easy to pirate as it is to install FOSS, and when money is tight morals are looser than usual.
What makes FOSS more appealing than piracy for a non-power user?
Even with no money to spend, Windows is what most people are used to and what most people will try to stick with one way or another.

"B-b-b-but how is he going to create jobs with less than $4 billion?"~Republican response

This, so much. Haven't bought BF3 or Crysis 2 precisely because of this.
I don't believe that at all. I just don't need an imaginary friend to provide meaning and value to my life.
I really don't mean to be a condescending dick, but I REALLY do feel pity for people who think like you. Isn't just experiencing life enough?
42. Easy.
Well, it certainly isn't a big truck.
Also, they're tubes.
Right back to 1984!
Damn, haven't seen that movie in a long time! But that world was a utopia for people living in it.
So they're training people to beat off to pictures of animal suffering?

To be fair, Jesus was also just some dude. Possibly.

I was replying to "This somehow makes content owners evil."
If it wasn't right 20 years ago, what makes it right now?
