Programming is very easy, but requires math and logic skills.
I agree that learning the basics of programming is easy. But, like with any other trade, becoming a good programmer requires the right kind of motivation, curiosity, attention to detail, and desire to improve one's craft.
In my experience people who say "Programming is easy" are usually the ones you don't want to having working with you on a project.
Programming is a craft. You have to love doing it to be good at it.
Anyone can saw wood or swing a hammer. It takes a passionate person to properly build a staircase..
If you're into generated music, then you'll probably like auto-composed tone-matrix music. I just happen to have written a game that does that:)
Do you know John Conway's Game of Life? It's a cellular automata game. I've combined that with a standard tone-matrix interface to create music that essentially breeds new generations of itself.
And, just to make sure that pseudo-chaotic music actually sounds good, I framed everything in a pentatonic scale.

We're talking about taxes. Tax percentages are always added to the base price. Otherwise a 15% tax would lower the price by 85%, thus making the seller lose money, the taxer gain nothing, and the buyer bathe in cash.
In.y experience this i all too true. I've developed a few homebrew apps for the wii, and while the wiibrew wiki was great for dusplaying your work and interacting with the community' it also gave a lot of peple the impression they could their creative input should carry as much weight as the author's
I did get some good feedback, but it was usually drowned out by all the 12 year olds asking everything from mp3 players to game system emulators to be integrated into your app. I found it really hard after a while to stay polite with people who would flame you if you disagreed with them.
I do xbox indie dev now and the community seems older amd more reasonable, but much less active.
sorry about all the typos. i wrote this from a kindle!

Dude. Relax, have some eggnog. Put your feet up on that stack of computer magazines and take a deep breath.
This is the internet. Either you're trolling, or the person you're yelling at is. Either way, relax.
Or, be a trailblazer and use OpenGL with Mono's implementation of WinForms. It's still a win-win-win situation, and you're also supporting a really interesting project:)
Disclaimer: I'm not a FPS gamer nor do I own any iThings.
Question: Wouldn't having to constantly move your screen around make aiming difficult? Sure, it might feel more intuitive, but wouldn't accuracy suffer a lot?
This could have interesting implications for game AI.
Depending on how slow the FPGAs are to reprogramit'd be interesting to use these to simulate a neural network, or something similar. Live, adaptive AI which is independant of the CPU:)
God: Bender, being God isn't easy. If you do too much, people get dependent on you, and if you do nothing, they lose hope. You have to use a light touch. Like a safecracker, or a Bender: Or a guy who burns down a bar for the insurance money! God: Yes, if you make it look like an electrical thing. When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

Actually the opposite of a cat is not a cat.
... for one or more definitions of "opposite."

Sorry quacking duck, but a 200% tax would triple the price. Now that I've bested you in a game of wits, buy my game! (see below).

According to that link ICE T is a DBAG.
I guess that's what I get for posting from my Kindle.
How can somethimg from the 90s be "Next Generation?"
Um... Star Tek?
That is correct. On an unrelated note, I discovered I was a nerd when I found myself reading up on Pac Man AI a few years ago.
well, that really depends on the project. If this is a one-shot demo why waste time doing that?

Flamebait? More like "+6 Funny"-bait.

3 bad Uncertainty Principle jokes already. I predict at least 50 more. Dupes count (obviously).
Actually, he probably wanted the word "synonym."
Synonym: Two words that can be interchanged in a context are said to be synonymous relative to that context.
Euphemism: An inoffensive or indirect expression that is substituted for one that is considered offensive or too harsh.
Yes, thank you.
I'm surprised it took so long for someone to say that.
If you're a professional developer it shouldn't take you very long to pick up a new language anyhow.
Make a list of languages in demand, pick a small project for each (bigger than "Hello world") and spend a weekend on each one.
I did that with Python, C, C++, and C# a while ago and it really paid off. My work with C# caught someone's eye and I got recruited.
Yeah, I know this is a bit offtopic, but so is this entire thread.
CAD is in fact still weaker than USD. It's almost tied, but not quite.
For a shiny graph demonstrating this see:
