Barracuda has a Disk-to-Disk-to-Cloud backup server. They recently introduced a new feature that allows you to use a second Barracuda at a remote site instead of their cloud services. The network backup sends deltas instead of the entire backup set. It's not free (or cheap), but it will do exactly what you want.
Can we start talking about "Time to a Usable Desktop"? My laptop boots to a login prompt in 15 seconds, but after login it's another 2-5 minutes before it's done thrashing the hard drive. There are precious few (useful) tools available to track down everything the system is doing, and even fewer to help you improve the situation.

I didn't see this kind of rage when the new Linux kernel release hit the front page of Slashdot on Sunday. How about when the Fedora 16 release was announced on Tuesday? Or when KDE Frameworks 5.0 development was announced? Must be tough to be so focused on only what matters to YOU and not what might be of interest to anyone else.
I wouldn't necessarily say it was something "really dumb". It looked like a legitimate e-mail from a legitimate contact, exploiting a zero-day flaw in a system. From a user standpoint, I'm not sure they could have done anything different to avoid getting infected. Users still have to get their work done. Your average user can't spend twenty minutes researching every attachment to make sure it doesn't have a zero-day attack in it.
That said, could RSA as an organization have done anything different to prevent this? Of course they could have, starting with not running an OS that's two major revisions out of date (let's not get into a Windows vs. *nix discussion here). But let's not put all the blame on the user for this.

It seems to me that a young man smart enough to work out a design like this would not overlook something so simple as the number of cells in use during his experiment and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when the only proof against him is a single incomplete photo.
So I can spend 50 -60$ on a 20 hour game? Yeah, that's EXACTLY what I'm after. Sounds like a good way to keep development costs low and reap in more profit. I call bullsh*t on this.

Why not simply use a narrow-field directional antenna for your demo? If you're just feet away from it, it seems unlikely that other nearby networks would be strong enough to drown out the signal.

For a variety of well-considered reasons, I'm leaning towards an iPhone, but I know how the markets work for Apple products and accessories. I'd just as soon wait two months for the next rev to come out before I switch.
I really really wanted to try out a WebOS phone. It's Linux, you can get root without cracking or jailbreaking, there are development tools for Linux, the form factor is nice. BUT to use one you HAVE to have a data plan through your cell phone provider. I do not have a data plan. I get wireless for my N900 for free at home, work, the church, the pool, my favorite restaurant, starbucks, the library, my friend's homes, etc. On top of that HP strongly recommends that you get an unlimited data plan because WebOS chews so much data. Great, especially now that providers are dropping their unlimited plans. Oh well. My next plan is to offer someone an absurd amount of money for a N950.
I had a Pre almost since they came out and I really really wanted to love it as well. WebOS is fantastic. The hardware, however, is complete garbage. Palm (and the HP) continued to string us along with promises of API releases for camera and microphone access, as well as Flash. Promises that never materialized. It lagged farther and farther behind as it continued to lack, in features, things that everyone else had for months or longer. They had an opportunity to make a good dent in the smartphone market but they completely blew their opportunity.
I think he worked for many hours on the document and tried to perfect it at the last minute when he got the surprise. The CM/ECF software is the only way a court will accept the document and this guy got screwed. My hunch is he had Windows update put IE to 9 and listing to us geeks he always says yes to auto updates.
It's NOT IE9's fault. It's HIS fault for not leaving himself adequate time to deal with technical problems.
Are you kidding me? Mr Big Shot lawyer is the ONLY ONE in his law firm with a computer? He doesn't have a single para working for him that knows how to work a web browser and can submit it for him? No partners who can submit (or at least lend him their computer)? I am 100% on the side of the MBA commenters in this thread. If you can't get it in on time, IT'S YOUR DAMN FAULT. FIND A WAY TO DO IT. Mail it, fax it, sneaker-net it, just get it in. "My browser ate it" is a lame-ass excuse and his censure should be doubled as a result of shoveling that plateful of crap at the court. He had two weeks to submit it and he waited until the last second before trying. His excuse is 100% pure weapons-grade bolognium.
