    NASA's 'Vomit Comet' is a Boeing 717/KC-135 (707 variant used by Air Force). It is indeed reinforced for cargo and aerial refueler duties. Got to catch it one time and do a turn around, back in '88, up at Fairchild AFB. Also, the 707 platform is very good. Check out the 707 prototype, doing a barrel roll over Seattle.

    That's not very revealing. They gotta' make sure no one's carrying any hidden devices. Most likely, they'd come up with a "nekkid and grab your ankle's" position when shipping passengers.

    Here in the U.S., the History channel seems to devote about 90% of programming to WWII/Rome/Egypt. If you want to get sloshed, start taking a shot any time you see a German cross on a tank or plane. Every third commercial will get you hammered.

    Heh. Wife and I just found Firefly that way. After moving to new house and being told it would be months to get cable in, we got used to picking up DVD series instead of catching as able on tv. Am looking forward to another year or two, when Apple/Netflix/Amazon has their act together on the video on demand dl, for just about all shows. That'll be cool!

    When I did mobile computer repair in Fla., I carried a gun. Some parts of Tampa and St. Pete aren't the nicest.
