    Yeah, when we had to pull out after Desert Storm, we had a pile of Omelet packs left over (all gone through for any good stuff). They burned with a green/black smoke. Weird!

    Wait, you're saying that with a large pool of gov't money, a few business have put a toe over the line of decent, ethical behavior, simply to earn a profit off the backs of the American public? Why that's an outrage! All these companies that work against America are obviously part some kinda of arachnidist-soocioalist plot intent on taking over the world.

    So... if I keep going to school at least part time (6 credit hours a semester) I can defer my loans and once I reach Social Security age, they'll just drop the loans? Sweet!

    Yeah, Has Been's on my regular rotation on iPod. It's a really good album. Reminds me of Warren Zevon, with some of the personal depth it has, as well as the humor. Will be interesting to see how new album stacks up.

    Thought his comment on death was very interesting: Death is increasingly fascinating to me the closer I get to it... I live in a balancing act of terror and acceptance every day.

    I'm in my 40's and yeah, it's starting to hit me that I likely have less years left than have already passed. Mortality is weird!

    David Brin theorizes that we've already doubled our lifespan, from 30-45 or so, pre-civilzation, to the 70-90 that most western countries now have.

    Just think of the attitudes of government and business officials who are 100+ years and how out-of-touch they could get with regular folks. 10 or 20 years of economic downturn may not mean much to people with such a long lifespan, especially when it's just numbers in a computer and doesn't physically effect them anyways.
