    I did a search for Ipsum Laurus (yeah, memory's going) and found this French version with that pagemaker part at the bottom. Seeing has how I still have a boxed set (weighs about 12 lbs) of Aldus PM 2 (I think), thought it kinda' funny.

    Gotcha' on the surfin' web and forgetting at work. Where I'm at, we've supposed to restrict our browsing to news sites only, and just during lunch/breaks. Even so, have to watch out what stories to click on. So much NSFGW (not safe for gov't work) stuff out there. But that is a good idea on the DVD. Now, if there was a way to run Civ and have it appear to be Excel...

    After child process was spawned, wife started getting add-on packs. Have almost twice as much wife now as before. At least add-on packs are evenly distributed. We might need to try running an exercise process. In our copious free time, of course.

    Anyone remember LaCie's Joule Drive system from the 90's? Had a base case with power and drive and then a top that could come off so you could add more scsi devices. Always wanted a computer put together like this.

    This case looks like someone took that idea and ran.

    I worked at a Mom & Pop computer repair place for two years. We had a retired electrical engineer professor (phd in EE) who did laptop mobo repairs. He was just happy to get out of the house and have some guys to hang around with while soldering power plug connectors back together. There was an ex-HP guy doing printer repairs and the boss who, while not a great out-of-box thinker, had a hell of a memory for parts and settings. Cool thing was, Christmas: $500 bonus and dinner out with open bar on $18/hr salary. The rest of my tech job history has been at corporate places and never got any type of bonus like that.

    Man, 15 years ago, had to pick up some of those purple 3v Apple clock batteries. We'd order a bunch every quarter but I got caught out when a lab of Macs started acting up. Freaking CompUSA weenie physically tried to block me from going past him after he told me they didn't carry Apple stuff (before Apple ghettos showed up there). WTF?!!! Just get out of my way, I know your store layout better than you.
