I wonder if a first person giant brick Lego came would work. One where the 2x4 bricks are around 6' long and you can pick up and jump around with them. Could build castles and vehicles and then import in to a shared world and have fun.
Just ordered a Wii for daughter's birthday. Was a toss up between Wii and iPod touch. She really likes my iPhone and playing games/watching movies on it but wants to be able to have friends over and play video games with them. Looks like Wii is still the party game system for non-loners.
Have you ever tried housework wearing just high-heels and pearls? If nothing else, it encourages the neighbors to stop looking in your windows. At least until they get goggles and eye-bleach.
Rocket motors don't require an atmosphere at all. Is just mass moving and action/reaction. Any sort of device that can chuck mass out the back of a vehicle will push that vehicle forward.
Saw an empty lot being cleared of trees and kudzu. They had to go down around 8' and pull out the main kudzu root that was over 10' long. Looked like a giant carrot made out of wood. Without that, woulda' had kudzu coming up through the parking lot and new building they were gonna' put in.
I had Minux running on a Mac Plus a few years ago. No HD, booted from 800k floppy and then had a web server running on it. It wasn't apache, though. Can't really remember what it was. I'm not even sure if I still have this machine. Still, was a fun exercise in minimal computing. Sorta' like getting my Newton 2100 to serve web pages.
What if aliens came down and wanted to suck up our water ('cause there's no water in space? Wah?)? Could we ask them to put a filter in their pipes and send that stuff over to us?
Yeah, working at gov't related sites is always interesting. I came to my present locked down job from a small liberal arts college where the boss was only concerned if he was getting complaints from the profs and secretaries. Such an easy job but man, no pay and no prospects. And a 60/40 female/male student ratio and a private beach. Those were the days.
You're allowed to bring personal electronics in to your work? Man, about the only electrical items we're allwed in are crockpots, coffee makers, and fans. Super strict where I work.
Don't forget the Brilliant Pebbles; they reduce comb filter effects caused by very high sound pressure levels that develop in the corners when music is playing - as much as 3 or 4 times higher than the average sound pressure level in the room!! The Large size Brilliant Pebbles is also effective on tube amp Output Transformers; on top of speaker cabinets; and on armboards of turntables. Other effective locations include on top of Tube Traps; on side walls at the first reflection points; on the wall behind the listener position at points of high pressure; or anywhere in the 3 dimensional space of the room where a sharp rise in sound pressure relative to the average sound pressure in the room is measured using a test tone and sound pressure meter.

Bathroom game time. Seriously, as you get older, you'll find yourself spending more and more time on the can. iPhone/DS/PSP beats old Readers Digests.

Except that EU got Ishtar on DVD and there's no release for the U.S. Weird!

Still, Chinese use some part of it as a medicine.

The banking industry would agree.
The beatings will continue until moral improves.
My fax machine is broken.
Someone's mother, I think.
Where do you hang your hat?
How many flaming moon bunnies = 1 burning LoC?
Wouldn't it be easier to send eggs and sperm to Mars and then have them combine and incubate there?
Those weird anaerobic fellows that lived here, before that green goo came along and poisoned the air and seas.

Just as well we don't go there ourselves. Next thing you know, we'd be dropping nuclear powered probes on it and polluting all of space.
Speak for your self. I'm hoping for head in a jar status or at least occupying a big chunk of RAM.
Does this mean I have to turn in my /. id?
It's just more red state socialism.
Isn't that why they're called Red States?
Doesn't New York pay out more in taxes than it receives?
