already exists and has been in use by film professionals in removing "minor" dirt, scratches, and other for many years. Draw a box around the artifact and **poof** its gone - quite successfuly with some operator experience.
This is not the case with 'some' of the current cars. I have done this plenty in an 08 Audi A6 - Auto Trans. The only effect of dropping down 1 gear, is dropping down 1 gear. Cruise Control is unchanged.
If my torrents slow down overtime, Im not concerned since its something I shouldn't really be doing anyway
What do you mean by you should be doing it anyway ? That's how I download my linux distros. Are you saying I shouldn't do that? or are you downloading "illegal" material - and that's why you don't care.
IMO - Your point is ridiculous.
I'll save my mod-points since someone already got you with "-1 Flamebait".
Are you suggesting that since that at this time its only working model is on Win32, that some how make this a waste of time?
If I a new company, would my first goal be to satisfy a "smaller" portion of the market, or go for the largest piece of the pie.
I'm sure sales/strategy/accounting had a lot to do with this.
I'm fairly positive it had NOTHING to do with anything but money.
BTW.. Get a grip - if you really want it:
1) MacOs / XP
2) *nix & wine
That technology is amazing! and seems almost trivial at the same time. With the results that were posted, I would predict that this would enter mainstreem usage asap.
I don't know if this is what they are looking for at this kind of "Conference".
Actually, as someone who is familiar with this 'technology', you couldn't be more wrong.
Take the DVD, encode it to 80kbs (mpeg4 or whatever), back to vhs, back to 80kbs (divx or whatever), run a wipe and eliminate over 50% of the picture. If you do that, forensically it can still be identified. Multiple images in EVERY frame. Potentially unique to every disc. It is trackable back to the source.
And you got modded up to 3 ???? Wow. Did any of your comments come from facts? or did you just make it all up ?
I have been a client of Hurricane Electric for about six years. I have found them to be EXCELLENT. Their tech staff is on the ball, and the only problems I have ever had were being on the wrong network during a DDOS. (I DON'T WORK FOR HE)
I am impressed that they are doing this, but it doesn't suprise me. They also give you the option to go IPV6 if you want.
I use a couple DEC Alpha PC164 boxes. They're no univac, but still my oldest, and favorite by the way. I'm running Debian on them and couldn't be happier. One day I'll cough up $99 for a license of TRUE64, but....
What you may not realize is that these feature are having their Negatives that strike the prints made DIGITALLY. They are scanned out. Ghosts of the Abyss was done this way, as are some of the new features. It's call a Digital Intermediary.
The main issue is striking thousands of prints and shipping them all around the US/World. That costs a LOT OF $$$$$. They will save a TON of cash when we just send a fibre feed of the feature. Plus we all know that a digital version doesn't get scratched by an $8 idiot in the projector room.
Compression Rates are completely different that FRAME SIZE. DVD has a frame size of 720x480. Although The dvd spec allows for a couple others 1/2 D1, Mpeg 1 (Compression Type change), All major studio DVD are at the SAME FRAME SIZE 720x480. You may be referring to the variable bit rate encoding MPEG II.
The card has 32 MB on it. It was a SUPER DUPER card for what the original purpose was. --Holywood graphics on ALPH WinNT. The card was REALLY expensive, so I feel like I should get a GUI running on it if it kills me.
I love my DEC Alpha 500PC164. Too bad the only thing that will run on it is Debian. ---Not that Debian doesn't ROCK !.
If I could only get X running. I'll send $5 bucks to anyone who can point me to a driver for the video card.

Has anybody ever got one of the bad boys ? or more importantly.. every got one to run any distro of *nix with X. This thing runs great, but I wouldn't mind to see it with a GUI:)
Can this system detect the difference because my car just overheated and I spilled cool and all over my hands.
MOD UP PARENT.
Explain how this post get hit with troll pts.
UGH.
And no mod points when I could really use them.
Such predictable behaviors.

Why isn't this modded up. Highly Informative.

This was just re-mastered last month for DVD. I know nothing of the DVD authoring or release schedule, but the new HD master has been made last month.

Open VMS - never tried it. But I will now (thx)
Tru64 - Would LOVE to try it, but it's not FREE and don't have a license. I couldn't find one either. |):
I could not get NetBSD to run.
Thanks for the OPEN VMS tip. I'll be trying that
one soon.
(please keep the tips and advise rolling in. Any of you guys run the panda boxes ? How were they ??)

I'd easily pay $200.00 to get my Dell Inspiron 8200 LAPTOP to have a light-up keyboard !!. Anybody have or seen any solutions for this ?
It confounds me that they don't/arent backlit anyways.
