  4. At what point does a good intention turn bad? on Wikipedia Founder Jimmy Wales is Launching an Online Publication To Fight Fake News (cnn.com) · · Score: 1

You just have to wonder at what point does the fight against fake news become the fight against honesty?

Wikipedia covers its legal ass by relying on published elsewhere citations. This is not always insuring honesty and sometime even promoting the continuation of dishonesty. I recall a policy change where any paid editor needs to state being paid and by who, which came up in regards to israeli editors. Only where do you see this editor information on any articles or do you have to research editors per wikipedia article editors to see where there may be subtle bias (and who is going to take the time to do that)? I also have both personal experience and knowledge or incorrect information in a few wikipedia articles, but who will listen?

So when Jimmy comes up with this fighting fake news, its sure sign of using "fake news" as a way to suppress honest news and information.

So lets all jump on the "fighting fake news" bandwagon and realize nothing really changes. But more important, understand why this "fighting fake news" came about in the first place, is simply because people are waking up to the control BS.

So with all this in mind, there are still insurance files and with a public court case, which unlike Manning, will be public and with jury nullification.... And the politicians using double and triple speak know terrorist can do the same making any communication looking like common conversation..

The Spying and lying through the main stream media is just a manipulation feedback loop of the Peoples employees of government manipulating the employers (the people) among the many other things the Employees of the people are doing against the Declaration of Independence. i.e. stealing the retirement funds of the employers (the people) funded by the employers (social security), illegally arming the police with military equipment (and having the employers. the people pay twice for the same equipment claimed to be "surplus") while trying to suppress the employers arms (anti-gun efforts) and more . Its time the people apply their rights and do their duty and instruct those working in the peoples business of government, how the funding (taxes) they are supplying is to be used.

Its simple to do, a form to allow the taxpayers, the funders of government, to say how their taxes are to be used and included in the tax returns for the tax processors to allocate the funds according to the taxpayers instructions. Also needed is teh government transparency information, what the government wants funding for so the people can each decided to fund or not. If the government doesn't say, they don't get.

If there is a problem with allocation then funds are placed in a credit union account till government supplies verified receipts in accord to teh allocated funds, for reimbursement.

There is no need to spy on the employers, as the employers will set the budgets and this way the representatives will actually know what to do to represent the people. And the People will become participants rather than subjects.

This is a republic, not a democracy but democracy is only to be a supplement of the republic. However two universities (Princeton being one of them) have technically determined the government is functioning as an Oligarchy. Now read the Declaration of Independence for the instructions the founders wrote for what the people are to do about this distortion and abuse of bad business of letting the peoples employees run the funding of the peoples business of government bank account.,

  19. Stone Image of the Beast on The Ethical Dilemmas Today's Programmers Face · · Score: 0

All to often I find software does not function the logical way it should. That to use the software efficiently I have to think like the programmer(s) or figure out what they were thinking when they wrote teh program..

The old saying about walking a mile in someone else's shoes.... people do this all the time in using software.
Computer are made of earth and run thought processes of the programmer(s) thus making them a stone image of the beast otherwise known as man.

But this is not the only place the thought processes of a few are imposed upon many more, for religion, government etc,,, all use abstraction as most certainly so does programmers. And its in understanding this that we also have the metaphorical key to the bottomless pit. For that key is the understanding of the gears and bearing of how we process abstractions and why we came to create them.

The main ethical issue regarding software is the false constraints those in the field of programming subject the users to. Who doesn't know how barbarically constrained the Windows Command line is? But it is done that way under the philosophy established by Bill Gates "the way to become wealthy is to make people need you"

Ethics went out the windows when Bill Gates yelled "Piracy" over a matter of people being very tired of waiting for what they had paid for and Bills BASIC itself, was a port of those who created it.

The only way to bring Ethics back into the field of programming si to not only make it all open source and to disallow software patents (which itself is complete fraud) but to properly approach software development the way it should had been done to begin with. In the way that is natural in teh creation and use fo abstraction, without false constraints.

To understanding this is indeed possible see http://abstractionphysics.net/
