Since when is having a double standard something you need to call in the State for to arbitrate? Oh, of course, only when it's the 21st century Earls and Dukes that are the target.
As I said in my first post, the gullible.
"I'm only in favor of the law, when it supports my point of view."
The Reddit thing was pretty toe-curling, wasn't it? I'm always inclined to suspect cock-up rather than conspiracy, and I do think that's the most prominent explanation here. But to be clear, that's not absolving specific moderators of outright malice; the "cock-up" here is in how Reddit gives so much power to badly supported volunteer moderators.
Wasn't a cockup./r/news has had a history over the last couple of years of silencing anything that doesn't fit with their opinion, and if it runs contrary to their opinion it'll be deleted, you'll be banned on top of it. They were going out of their way to delete posts that were calling for blood donations and so on as well, and were deleting posts right up until the point where they couldn't keep up with deleting the stuff anymore the made a megathread.
It also doesn't help that many of the mods on the default subs also moderate several default subs or also moderate the biggest cesspools on reddit like shitredditsays(srs), circlebroke, circlejerk and many admins when they retire suddenly become mods of said subs, the most common places where admins retire to? SRS. The same sub that loves to claim that people brigade it, but have been caught brigading, witch-hunting and doxing. All things that in the past led to other subs being outright banned or quarantined.
I could say the same about most Fox News watchers and Daily, Mail readers,.... the list goes on and on, except they are usually very angry too.
It's fine to be angry over something, even angry all the time if you want. But look at the people who are acting violently and attacking people, for the most part it's not those "angry fox news watchers" or "angry daily mail people" it's the ones getting their news via social media, media that thrives on clickbait or outrage culture. Fosters insular thinking and groupthink and/or supports authoritarian viewpoints and/or anti freedom of speech/expression. Take your pick. BLM, anti-trump protesters, DNC/RNC protesters, occupy wallstreet(after it was hijacked by progressives), anti-MRM groups. The people violently protesting individuals like Milo Yiannopoulos, Christina Hoff Sommers, Gloria Steinem? They're the same ones who claim that they can't be racists because they're a minority or because they're a particular sex/race/religion and openly state that violence is a perfectly fine means of protesting.
No, what matters is that a Silicon Valley 'Libertarian' is using the full power of the State to shut up his critics.
So Gawker didn't flaunt the law and refuse to take down the sex tape when ordered to by the court? Who knew. Gawker also doesn't have double standards on publishing sex tapes or nudes either? Who knew.
You're just so damn upset that someone actually had the money after a decade to actually be able to provide a defense against Gawker acting like pricks, either posting sex tapes, nudes, outting people's sexuality, destroying lives and could actually fight back for a change.
Around $90-150m year they're losing and they only have $500M in capital assets. Seems like to me they're buying stuff up that will hopefully make it profitable.
See, now you've outed yourself as an idiot on electric powertrains.
Regen braking produces very little waste heat, comparable to what the EV would produce accelerating under full power at most. It would be impossible to cause melting or a fire through regen braking on a EV with a working cooling system.
Regen braking with a resistor bank to act as an auxiliary load dump could easily replace a jake brake. This is how diesel-electric locomotives do most of their braking after all.
Now you've outted yourself as an idiot in general. The system for trucks is prohibitively expensive since trailers need to be retrofitted for it and using two-system braking while the entire braking system isn't will increase the chances of jackknifing. FYI most diesel-electric locomotives do their braking with physical brakes(air) and engine throttling(regenerative along with rheostatic) this is called dynamic braking. But what would I know? I only have friends that have spend their life as engineers for CN & CP.
But a single look on wikipedia would have told you that much.
Show me the diesel engine providing *FULL* torque at 0 RPM. There is a reason that almost all train's now have electric motors for the traction engine.
It's called a super-charger start. And any transmission allows full torque at 0 rpm, there are also a few other options for that stuff.
When you consider that a Tesla car has 700 HP (performance version), it's not unreasonable to have four times that in an electric truck.
Trucks don't really care about HP, it's all about torque(aka pulling power). Your average truck is ~250-500HP but 1,700-4,100 lb-ft of torque at 1,200-2,400rpm. Right now that leaves diesel engines in the best pulling power class, especially with the 15-26 gear transmission ratios that exist.
Likely need much more then that. The reason why jake brakes work so well for highways in very hilly and mountainous regions is because it's working against the engine, transmission and everything else. There are places along the transcanada, 401, and I-75 where the use of a normal brake even re-gen brake would burn out(and turn into a pile of melted metal or glorious fire) long before the truck started coming down the other side. Even heavy morning traffic through Toronto is enough that you'll occasionally see trucks pulled over waiting for their brakes to cool, especially once it starts hitting 30C+ here in Ontario. There's places just outside of my city where you can see where trucks have nearly run away with very heavy loads, and you're talking about 0.03% over a couple of KM.
Too simplistic. Besides the progressives would rather bury their head up their ass and pretend nothing is wrong. Remember when all those progressives and the media said that after Dylann Roof murdered 9 people there needed to be a national dialog on the confederate flag? A guy just killed 50 people was a muslim, I'm sure they're going to be lining up to suggest a national dialog on Islam.
You don't need to disarm people, just stop selling them new guns.
Really? Guess that's why all those countries are seeing problems with guns being smuggled in via Eastern Europe and used in terrorist attacks. Charlie Hebdo was one such case, there's been at least two dozen stories in the last year on more smuggling attempts directly to islamist groups in each of those countries.
So "Gamergate" is all about SJWs then, rather than "ethics in game journalism"?
Way to make OP's point for him.
Only in the way that they're linked. I know, difficult to understand. Let's go look at the various comments by those in gaming press and their previous statements espousing social justice points/talking points/blame and go from there shall we? We can even use yesterday's shooting in Orlando.
So when said journo decides to get on their horse and start screaming that "because toxic masculinity" then paint all people who don't follow their view as misogynists, and use their articles to paint as such. That really is all about SJW's at the base of it all isn't it. Unless of course you're saying that an individuals biases in these cases aren't a reflection that they're projecting into the media. Not rocket surgery. When an ideology attacks anyone as the "out group" we'd normally call that a religion wouldn't we?
I hate to break it to you, but the taxi industry doesn't do any of those things, except for the insurance.
They don't? You should let them know, because they're mandatory requirements in most of north american and europe. I'd also suggest calling your local vehicle inspection office or the head of it, since in most places mandatory vehicle inspections for vehicles used for commercial use is a mandatory requirement to get your insurance and plates renewed.
Keep the status quo. It is good. Politicians need the bribe money from the taxi cab owners.
Status quo? You mean like paying for proper insurance(commercial and liability), required first aid training, proper drivers licenses, mandatory vehicle inspections, and background checks. Sounds good to me, you don't have a problem with any of that do you? Because Uber sure does, all the while it tries to say it isn't a taxi company because it dispatches taxi's just like a taxi company does.
So let's look? Roughly 104 posts out of 88k posts. Sure does seem like a lot doesn't it.
Well sometimes always seems like a lot when your ideological buddy is under attack isn't it? Oh you don't get it in the context of the story at hand, do you need me to explain it to you? Perhaps using small words and diagrams. I've got experience dealing with toddlers.
There there, take your pacifier and suck on it. Once you calm down we'll start again.
Yep. Federal and provincial taxes for most people top out at 55%, then you add in highest electricity prices in North America, highest property tax prices in Canada, add in 13% HST(sales tax) on all good. In BC it's 7%, toss in the green-tax for gasoline so add another 4-8c/L on top of that. California for isn't isn't paying 0.17kWh for electricity either, but we do in Ontario. Haven't even touched on property taxes, Vancouver you can see upwards of $10k/quarter and in Toronto 7800-15k/quarter isn't uncommon.
By the way, if you're trying to persuade someone of something it's best not to go full crazy and link all the nuttiest things you can find.
Can't help it. That is the non crazy that modern feminists face out to the world. Right, you caught that didn't you? Modern feminism has basically boiled down to shirking harpies screwing about 1st world problems. Those names? Are also big names, either having been directly screwed over, are the ones spouting the garbage. You can turn your back on it all you want, but normies are seeing this insanity now and looking if not running away.
Microsoft had no legal obligation to let people keep the free game, and those who obtained the game for free didn't have the legal expectation of being allowed to keep it.
Depends on where you live, in quite a few cases where this would be the "stores error" you do get to keep the product with no strings attached, which happened during ye olde origin mess up. They could have eaten the cost , they could have given vouchers for 50% of the reail item, w hole bunch of things.
Hem...When Origin did something similar a couple of years back, they said they let those who picked up games keep them and tha's it. It's how iI got my copy of DA2, an don't regret it. On top of that they made more money off of me.
He has a lot of time alone to sit and think about how angry women make him. He sees them having fun with other guys and quickly becomes enraged and starts finding ways that the 'feminist agenda' is keeping him down and lonely.
Nice projection. Too bad you couldn't post pseudo-anonymously or anything right? That's okay, I understand not wanting to be targeted for holding a contrary opinion. No, no. Don't worry, you're doing a fine job of show why so few women actually call themselves feminists, and why they have such a huge image problem. What? You don't understand? Oh it's called ideological blindness.
Funny how instead of actually sticking to something at hand it will always revolve around a couple of things: "They're lonely" or "they're a virgin." It almost seems to be their only response to any form of criticism is to DAVRO.
I wonder how many libertarians defended the law telling that bakery to bake that damn cake. Hey, it's the LAW, right?
Close to zero. The bakery being forced to bake that damn cake was a clear first amendment violation.
Since when is having a double standard something you need to call in the State for to arbitrate? Oh, of course, only when it's the 21st century Earls and Dukes that are the target.

Yes. Also slashdotting is back...maybe...netcraft confirmed that too.
Really? Hmm...seems to be...no. And no, and no, and doesn't appear to be so either. Looks like they went hand in hand, but he was more then happy to pledge allegiance to ISIS.
So when's that dialog happening?
Try selling ISIS flags, see how that works out for you.
No problem.
Why don't you try education and common sense?

It's reasonable for gawker, and threat'sand doxing are okay with feminists too. Along with getting people fired because reasons.
