    I thought that was self-evident, those would be individuals who use poorly malformed questions in a poorly formed survey, and quote it as a gospel truth.

    Considering that you even use 99% as a basis for your argument shows that you have no idea that the entire "99%" bit is spin-city. After all if you believe that 73 people contribute "all scientists" then you deserve to be mislead.

    Last place I worked at, where we had someone like that, they lasted 90 days before the company canned their ass because it was "detrimental to worker morale." But that was before the current era of making everyone do the work of two people started.

    Seen the same thing here in Canada, also the land of a few hours of sunlight in the winter. And yep, lack-of-sun depression is far more common here as well. Few years ago, they ramped up the "take D3 supplements" and the winter depression bit does seem to be dropping off slightly.

    Let's see last year was: 31k in federal taxes(plus 3k in capital gains taxes - totaling 34k), 14k in property taxes, ~4k in "adjusted" provincial taxes.

    Yep, so obvious that not all of us live in the centre of the universe(toronto) and pay an assload more in property taxes than they do. Don't you just love MPAC?

    Who needs to go back to slot-loading? Why not mount the motherboard in the centre of the case and have a heat sink on either side.

    That's extremely short-sighted. Eventually the economy wins because we have less of the pollution and other environmental damage from coal.

    HAIL! And good greetings from the province of Ontairo! The land where we just finished taking our coal power plants offline, blew $1B not to build new gas plants because NIMBY's threw a fit. And pay anywhere between 40c/KwH to 83c/KwH to "green energy producers" to not produce electricity! This has driven up the cost of energy here by quite a bit, going by the latest projections we'll be paying upwards of 16c/KwH in the next few years. Enjoy those dreams of cheap electricity, because the businesses are fuckin' fleeing from here and the economy is dying.

    And when you have two or more processor dies stacked on top of eachother, the heatsink is only going to contact the topmost one. How do you remove that heat from the bottom one?

    Best guess? Synthetic/actual diamond transfer layer using something along the lines of heatpipes to the the top layer of the die plate, using the vertical method you mentioned. Either that or the die double sided with a heat sink on both sides, that could let you stack three cpu's together.

    I made 90K last year, took home 72K.
    Depending on you situation I can see you being taxed up to 34K, bit not only have 34k after taxes.

    Really not figuring it out are you? Toss in insanity of property taxes, various other taxes and "fees" disguised as taxes, etc, etc, etc, and surprise at how fast all that money goes away.

    Last two years actually, and as I now clear $90k+ yearly, I take home around $34-38k if I'm lucky after taxes.

As a point it's $1.42/L($5.32/Gal) Canadian where I am right now, and businesses are already jacking up the prices on everything else. If you want to cause the economy to slow to a point even worse than it is in the US right now, go right ahead. Because one only needs to look at Ontario(once the primary GDP producer of Canada) to see what high energy prices, and poor government decision making do.

    Meh adjust the DoF to how you like it, it's not hard and with the latest mod it's trivial to do. But other things like RT shadows, object reflections, higher density of pedestrians on the street? Hell even the particle effects for the water looks amazing with all these settings turned on. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, hell Totalbiscut isn't either but even he hinted in his latest video on it that there's a possibility that PC settings were reduced as to not make the "next gen" aka 2.5-3 year old hardware that they're built on, not look so bad.
