The July 18 map shows the flight stops over Romania which is south of the previous routes so I'm not sure what you are getting at. These Flight Ware maps are probably not accurate at all.

Fair enough. It wouldn't be my regular genre but for actual good quality writing in the fantasy/science fiction genres I would recommend anything by Iain M. Banks and his His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. I don't compare books. I judge them on their own merits and Game of Thrones (the first few chapters of the First Book anyway) is not well written, not interesting or intelligent. It is lowest common denominator pot boiler dreck. Need I add 'IMHO'? If you dislike either of the authors I mentioned, feel free to make a spirited attack. It is no skin off my nose.

If I may tamper with your analogy for a moment: You can have a very bright bulb, but without a reflector you can't focus the light. You can be smart, but without focus all of that intelligence is not a lot of use.
If I am not mistaken, Michelangelo mainly dedicated his life to promoting himself, winning big commissions from the wealthiest patrons and cared little for anyone else.
