Reading the article (I know, bad mlk, get off/.) it sounds like sometimes the commands took to long to get to the machine, with the occasional dropped packet throw in. So TURN LEFT STOP TURN WEAPON READY FIRE STOP FIRE

And you know have a spinning, firing deathbot. I'd guess the device simply does not fire if it is moving, so you really now have a spinning, useless deathbot that a solder can reboot.
This makes them LESS likely to go on a civvy killing spree than a traditional solder. The controller (a human) knows his every move is being recorded, and can be scrutinized latter.
The video states that the device can carry and use any weapon a human can fire. So this is likely just the show-off weapon. The ones deployed might be carrying something smaller.
Is there anything left of BeOS, any chance of some life for that codebase? YellowTab kept it going for a bit, then went under. BeOS(1) was then bought by Magnussoft which stopped in May of this year as it was not economically viable to continue.
A few Open Source efforts popped up when BeOS died, Haiku I think is the only one still going.
1) Not 100% sure on what was bought, likely the source and the right to maintain a desktop only version of it.
limited nature of PDA+phone models so far. What limits have you encountered with PDA/phone combos? The only two in your list my Wizard suffers from would be "standard stereo jack" (which is a big pain in the bum I agree), and 3G (but the upgrade to mine has this).
If they add a decent sized micro-drive (8G should be enough), and DVD playing abilities I will be a tad irritated. My lovely new toy getting a serious update this soon after it being released is not nice.
USB HDD support would lessen the blow, as would good support for movie formats, and Flash 9 support in Opera.
A quick clarification before an army of AI nerds (no offense) get me.
The OP was correct that armed RC cars existed before. But as of yet no known Armed Robots exist.
They are just RC mini-tanks. So the OP was correct, it has been done before.

Does the SWORD do any of that? They sure look like RC mini-tanks to me.
Gah! Please please read the article.
They are NOT robots, they are RC cars with guns.

It is both. A fair number (if not all) of the big stores will not stock them, and all three of the current consoles will not license AO content.
the very same author would have posted a near identical article.
Never used Pandora, so can not compare them. I quite like just sticking an artist in Last.fm and getting random stuff back.
I do. Last.fm is great for my musical needs, and BBC Radio 4 & 7 for comedy.

Easy to copy both to and from, great for homebrew & pirates, crap for content producers.
Can't charge through noise for the writers.
You don't wave the MS mouse. It does not have motion sensors in it, instead it is more like a tracker ball without a base.
Don't worry, thanks to an axe I can put you into multiply boxes.
LinkedIn?
And only put in it what you really need to.
Or better yet, go see a counselor.
They do "age". After some use all the skin-o-plastic starts coming off, and the eye balls fall out.
It appears to be flash based, so it is out now for the Wii, go grab the Opera browser... :)
Yeap, but we just put people in orange jumpsuit, superglue on a fake beard, and put them on a flight to the US.

Fox complete a season?! When did that happen?
A good chunk of BBC 3 was on BBC Radio 4 first.
Good Goddess no. Real life animated gifs.
Why would you want to do that, it would kill battery life.
