    Try either black and white, or Opera.
    Basicly you "draw" an L with the left mouse button down, and it will go back, draw _| and you go forward. Very usefully, esp. when you can do 'em at the OS level, like BeOS could (with a plug in) and now MacOS X & I think a Linux app does the same.

    calendar facility is basically done on the client eg (outlook, evolution) they dont need any server
    While mainly true, the share calandar held on the server is much easyer to set up then having to go round each machine an manually add a Personal Folder.

    This is what turns a email server to "groupware", but then if you don't need.

    Anyway, WinNT admins would not use either way, it no pointy-clicky icons :)

    Yeah, spend a few mins to walk to your local libary, and borrow the first ;-)

    I doubt they would be so popular without the involment of the media.
    It would be intresting to take a truely deadful book and hype it ;)

    People are willing to pay for quailiy (I could of borrowed Harry Potter from my 'ittle sis, and had download the PDF), I then went and bought it.

    Next on Slashdot, people who own Linux are more likly to buy Linux based software then Microsoft.

    Yes, You can create an (possable incombatable) version of a Java-like VM (GCJ for example), but you can not call it Java.

    How do you store, retrive & manipulate META data with find/grep/awk.
    Now you can, by storing it as part of the file name, but it would suck.

    BeOS did this very well, and MS has had time to copy, it should be pritty good.

    BeOS did use a DB, then found it to be too slow, so moved to a DB-like one (BFS).

    I'm also looking forward to this, should be fun.

    Maybe they can work the cost based on taste, thus marmite.uk would be free, as would mcds.uk while drpeppers.uk would cost a small fortune.
