Can you sand box games and their DRM? If I could uninstall the DRM at will and not have it poison and hide around the system then maybe I could live with it a bit more.
Stop spending Tax, giving yourself more powers.
You should have rules in place for internal departments and for any company that is THAT important, surely any contract set up would require some terms and conditions.
That's the main problem. He is calling for an R&D department; but it's all outsoruced to smaller companies. How do you bring all that together to help the main product?
There is a big difference between a few drunk snaps kept in a draw for only a few to see Vs a few drunk snaps that anyone can see when they like. You don't even have to be drunk. A few pics with a date that doesn't match up could cause a person havoc.
Sorry, I've replied in the wrong box and cannot take it back.
I wanted to reply to the ""We should get the Japanese to run our national rail system" post.
I used to live there about 15years ago and was amazed at what I saw. I visited at the start of this year and I have to say that the standards have dropped. We had some late trains and some delays. Shocking. It shouldn't happen.
I think you may be suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
I think I might have it too. My definition is - I expect a train at my station (could be late). This train takes so long that I have to run from the station to work every morning. If I try to get an earlier train something must go wrong and that service is cancelled. Of course I expect the ticket price to go up each year.
I wonder if there is a correlation chart for obesity rates and train overcrowding?
Go to any 2D screen and put your shades on. You get almost the same 3D effect without the nose pain from wearing the cinema's diseased glasses.
I have seen some great 3D films in the Imax about 13 years ago. The current tech implementation is awful - active shutter glasses are needed to keep the picture vibrant.
I want it and I'm sure I would go out and upgrade my machine if it needed it.
However, and as always, there will be some form of DRM that means I will not part with my money to be made to feel like a criminal. Put the DRM on the copied games not on the ones I pay for (not too sure how they'll do that).
It does look good. Hmm, Avernum needs some new artwork.
Did it make a loud whoosh sound too?
I was going more for the "both sides have lost when peace is lost" angle. I guess this is why the Dalai Lama doesn't post on /. any more.
:)
Man, it would be so sad to he him modded as troll or flame bait.
Both sides lost - - 1,060,000 lives. People on both sides are still suffering.
Midwives Earthquake Hazard.
Do I need more of less coffee?

Budget cuts in Britain would put a stop to that sort of thing. We can't even get a James Bond film off the ground with American money!
didn't like Ratatouille one bit. Rats in the kitchen. erghhh. Gives me the hebejebes.
Thus symbolising the numeral one for "first" and "post" at the same time.
Well done chap.
Yes we do. A lot more pictures. This thing is a bargain when compared with the things we'll find out about the universe.
5ms? You need to upgrade those tiny screens.

This is both a flippant comment AND a real question. It must be very hard to clean up all the data?

I think you've come up with a perfect "Are you homophobic?" test.
That just might be one of the gayest posts I've read in a few years. and I cruse some awful sites when I get bored. Well done..

I've been using the trains for years and I've yet to see a successful service.
The skills needed to grow one of these can't be cheap and that's before you've added on the RnD costs.
I'll glad I'm not typing "what happens when the hydrogen runs out?".
To add to my own post, many of you will enjoy this bit of 3d advice from Mark Kermode's Blog over at the BBC

Can't make it good, make it 3D.
I only want a single-player campaign. I don't enjoy on-line play.
