It would be very odd indeed for McCain to choose Powell as veep, since Powell is expected to publicly endorse Obama.
And I hate to ruin the surprise, but McCain's veep is going to be Crist, and Obama's is going to be Clark. You heard it here first. (Unless I'm wrong, in which case I disavow my prediction.)
I won't even consider a claim that a keyboard is "the best" if it doesn't even do the bare minimum of arranging the keys according to the needs of human beings. Basically, that means putting the keys into columns (not staggered -- what species have staggered fingers?) and splitting the keys according to placement of the hands.
If you don't split your keys and put them in columns, then you haven't even scratched your way out of the "bland copy cat keyboard" category.
To be fair, there are extremely few keyboard makers which meet that minimum standard.
After the bare minimum, my next requests are: get rid of the useless number pad, add a shift key for symbols and put symbols on all the letter keys (FingerWorks did this and it was awesome), and find some way or another to integrate a mouse into the keyboard without ruining the keyboard, which is a difficult but not impossible task.
I proffer a more likely explanation for the claims of the person to whom you responded: he's a lying troll. His claims are obviously false (it's not possible to "train" a human brain to ignore flashing colors) and he's just trolling the forum.
I want to comment, however, that ESL students learn academic English, whereas native speakers learn common English. You and I both lean toward academic English (even though we are native speakers), but it's a legitimate question whether the academic or common variant is a more pure expression of the essence of a language.
The Boy Scouts only discriminate against gays and atheists that they are aware of. If you don't think there are some godless gay Scout Leaders, you have another thing coming. So, they only object to out, proud atheists and homosexuals.
So, I think their (immoral) homophobic stance is indeed incompatible with contemporary social standards, but moreover it is primarily contrary to the Open Source model. Indeed, haven't we seen that an open society has improved itself the way open source has? With more eyeballs and more data, both civilization and software improve.
Wow that's weird. I read all the way down to your comment before I realized that the rest of you think ivory comes from elephants. Where I'm from, ivory comes from walruses.
Thank you for your careful and informed research into this specific patent case. You clearly have a deep mastery of the claims made in the patent filing, and have conducted a professional-grade search for prior art. Certainly you are a leading attorney in patent law.
Are you saying you have pirated copies of Britney Spears? Golly, you have terrible taste in music! When I pirate music, I choose some of the vast amounts of excellent music also put out by the record industry. You should look into it, there's a ton of it.
Any kid can afford any college in the country. As a child, you can't be any more poor than $0, and that's what I had when I went to a top-cost college in this decade. After four years of paying for tuition with only forgiveness and loans, I graduated with about 6-months-salary worth of debt. (Forgiveness is where the school just kind of reduces tuition for you.)
MIT, like all top-tier schools, including every school in the Ivy League, and many many more-accessible schools, offer need-blind admissions, which means they will find a way for you to be able to afford college, one way or another.
So, my suggestion is to go do what every other kid in America is doing, even those who aren't so lucky to be in an upper-middle-class family: get a job, borrow money, get thru school, then get another job and pay back the money. In fact, that makes me realize that taxpayers are the ones funding the low-cost government student loans, so we all already are giving you the scholarship that you are requesting.
Very interesting, I see that. Okay, I rescind my blame on the submitter and instead blame technical error. But it remains a bad headline even with the pluses.
Seriously. The headline is atrocious! I had no idea what it meant until I clicked thru to the article, which uses plus signs and an equals sign to make the meaning more clear.
I basically agree with you, but what about bands that aren't as good at playing live shows as making good recordings? Not everyone likes to play in front of a live audience.
Still, those bands should sell their own discs and keep 90% of the money, instead of using a middleman, and only keeping 1% of the money.
That's true. It's rare for a spinoff to work well, but there are some excellent examples. "Frasier" was never my favorite show, but it was a huge success that won a lot of awards. I can't think of any other examples of good spinoffs, but I can think of a few bad spinoffs.
I'm willing to give this one a chance if it is made by the same funny guys as the original.

No, you don't need to continue. Don't feed the trolls.

We knew why back then, too. It was pretty obvious, really.
Well, yeah, now we all know -- but 49% of us already knew in 2004.
His election was disappointing, but his re-election makes me weep.
Your signature and my signature need to team up.

Yes and no.

Drugs, yes. Kiddie porn, no. Regular porn, yes. Nukes, no. Guns, yes.
Ivory... mmmm -- I'll go with no, not usually, but sometimes it's okay.

The law worked as intended. Congress explicitly wanted to screw people like you.
Me, I think Congress made a big mistake.

schools get huge discounts from M$ so why run Linux?
because it sucks less

Even better yet, accept email replies and provide conscientious service to your customers.
Why even have a donotreply@company.com? How about customerservice@company.com? I guess that would make it too easy to get customer service.
You won't have to wonder why, if you read the article.
Seriously. The headline is atrocious! I had no idea what it meant until I clicked thru to the article, which uses plus signs and an equals sign to make the meaning more clear.
Submitter is the one at fault here.

yes. also illegal is looking at the content of the page instead of the advertisement -- that's stealing.
I don't think 100% correct is the standard of doing "fairly well".

+4, Informative. Thank you.
