'I fear that high production values and the inevitable sexualisation of the lead characters that a Hollywood treatment brings will destroy the show,'
Where has this guy been for the past two years? That train has already left the station.... I've been seriously disappointed with Doctor Who in the last couple of years; it's possibly just me, but the whole storyline with River being Amy's daughter etc., has really put me off. Sure, all things should evolve and mature - we really couldn't have aliens made out of cardboard boxes these days (though I would likely prefer that), but I just don't like the direction it has taken. I've been a fan of Doctor Who since 1968, so a lot of my disappointment is probably through nostalgia. I mostly stopped watching at Colin Baker, detested Bonnie Langford. Christopher Eccleston was like a breath of fresh air (perhaps because it was nice to have a Doctor with a northern accent:-) ).
I actually liked "The Hatters" (Luton Town F.C., an English football club) when I was a child purely based on their stunning orange and black kit with the bold white stripe down one side. Of course, Liverpool have always been my club after growing up there and going to the games. Luton ultimately lost their way and are now languishing in some non-league side. However, they have brought back their kit in a move of retro goodness - there's hope yet. Right, time for my tablet and a little nap. Goodnight!
Purchased install CDs for $9.99 from Powell's Technical store in Portland, OR. Sigh, nostalgia... Convinced my wife that it was a justifiable purchase (times were hard for us then [in a first-world way]) as it would "teach me UNIX and C" and get me a good job. Actually, it did. Thanks Linus!:-)
The joy I experienced on getting X Window running on my Packard Bell 386 in 1994 has never been bettered.:-) I played with xeyes for, must have been, 2 minutes. Ah, Slackware....
Ditto. What's the deal with that anyway? I used to get mod points all the time, and haven't had any in about two years now. Am *I* too old also???!!1!?
And thanks to the (unfortunately typical) biker that hammered on the roof of our car on Saturday.
As humourously depicted in Portlandia television series, there is a nasty element of bikers in Portland that think they have all 'rights' and no responsibilities. A couple of kids on bikes swerved in front of me on a bridge and pull up so they can chat to each other, so like any other vehicle that is driven irresponsibly, I honked my horn at them. Of course, "Mr. I Have the most expensive bicycle in town and own every accessory known to bicycle-riding community because I'm such a serious Portland biker" gets behind me and starts hammering on the top of my car. Please, learn to share the road. Yes, I drive a car, but I have consideration for other people on the road. Get over yourselves.
OK. So now we've had the words "Space Station" and "Elite" in this post. The sounds of The Blue Danube played on the SID is haunting my memories. Time to get the Commodore 64 dusted off...
Let's not forget the sh*t they wrote about Liverpool FC fans.... I have the sun website blocked on my router in case I inadvertently click on some link....

Well... it's a USB Flash drive, so it's not something you'd be using for Time Machine backups... Sigh, that'll teach me to read the entire thread...
The MacBook Air comes with an Apple branded USB restore drive.

Now all that remains is to integrate this with Sim City...
You do realize that "Libre" means "Free", right....?
Wait, what? Was it "Private Investigator" and printed at Kinkos?
Young whippersnapper. Don't be telling me to get off your lawn, I was here before you gurdarmnint!

And yes, I own a bicycle too, but I'm not a complete twat when I ride it around.

Including my 2-months-old Samsung Galaxy.
Cheapskate, buy your toddler a new Samsung Galaxy instead of giving him/her your hand-me-downs.
Michael Bay: "Challenge accepted!"
Or the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal would be even more appropriate.....
