I think your missing the point... Music companies that produce loader CD's do actually have a lower quality due to the fact they have to overcompress the signal (and no, this has nothing to do with MPEG compression) in the first place.

If the volume is set too high (there is a max limit to what CD's can store), then the fine detail can be lost in the noise.

Wow, never thought a database expert would say this! Paramatized stored procedures surely perform much better and more securly than injected SQL, plus leaving SQL to be optimized by your DBA and not your application programmer leaves the performance of your database in the right hands?

I admit, early versions where buggy but after Office 97 things went more smoothly and now I don't have any real problems.

As a network Engineer, I have not seen any users with problems as you suggest and we do have expert users so we are not just using the basic features of the software. Maybe you have an axe to grind?

Direct Drive decks do not represent as good as sound quality as belt driven decks. Vibrations from the motors on direct drive decks go through the platter and the pickup, even small vibrations are received by a good pickup. Belt driven decks do not have the same problem, the motors vibration are usually absorbed by the belt before it gets to the platter.

It failed because (and it kills me to say this), Windows NT was a better product than Netware in just about any way imaginable
This statement is very misleading indeed. Netware was, and still is the fastest and most secure file/print server available from any vendor. When a box running NT could service 100 users, a Netware server running on the same box could easily do 5x the load. I will concede that Netware is a crap application server, the OS isn't really up for it, but this is why Novell has gone for SUSE Linux and ported all their services accross to it. Novell isn't about Netware anymore, and hans't been for a couple of years now. Its about its management and directory services which have been ported to most other platforms... including windows.
I must admit that it was very early in my IT career that I made this switch. Perhaps my inexperience in Netware had something to do with my opinion of it.
So you switch your core NOS without knowing why? I would have to doubt your motives here.
