products were exchanged for that cash. Employees were paid --they bought goods and services; it's not like --woosh let's put billions of dollars in a rocket and shoot it into space. Every penny spent by NASA has been spent on the planet earth.
--Now, that's not to say that there isn't a possibility that there is a more constructive way for the government to spend its tax revenue, but it's not like the money vanishes
Well that's not neccisarily the case. university of Pittsburgh (where I am a mlis grad student) has free microsoft office/windows packages available, and you explictly allowed to keep using the software after you grdauate.
IAMNALBIAAGLS (I am not a librarian, but I am a Graduate Library Student), in america, the public libary system is designed so that, once a book is returned, all record of who borrowed it is deleted. So, as of now, as long as you return your books (and pay your fines, if any), you should be okay. This was instituted during, afaik, McCarthy times (for obvious reasons)
Well, i want it the other way, but I want it too. Either that or having the left side of the pad be left mouse button and the right side of the pad be right mouse button
pollute their database then. IF the data they have is useless, then no one will want it, and if no one wants their data (enough to pay for it), it will go away
Of course, so might the new york times on line for free, but c'est la vie.
I've just got a Tibook. Held off from getting one for a while beacuse of fears about the uni-button mouse. Its not that hard to adapt to it, especially since (most of) the places I'd want to press a 2nd mouse button --if there was one-- allow me to emulate control+click by simply holding the mouse button down for 2 or 3 sec. With Games, I'll admit that I use a logictech USB 3 button mouse. But I'd probably use a mouse anyway --ever try to aim with a trackpad?
I would, however, like Apple to allow the trackpad tap to emulate a second mouse button
You can get real coke (the kind with sugar) in America if you are lucky. Around Passover time (sometime around easter usually), observant Jews can't have corn syrup (it's complicated --it rises a little) for about a week (7 or 8 days depending on the sect), and, so, many bottlers make coke with sugar in it for that week. A lot of it doesn't sell right away; try looking in a Jewish delicatessin (or other store that has a kosher/kosher for passover section); some times you can can find it
I filled out a mail fowarding form the other day. Had ads for Garden State Insurance and Loew's hardware stores. Postal worker said it was becuase they (the post office) was required to be profitable, a law of some sort. Without the ads, stamp prices would have to go up again.
I'm all for keeping postal rates down, but really --is this kind of schilling neccessarY?
>Plank, from the Tick
On the tick it was "little Wooden Boy"
Plank is from cartoon networks rarely (but occasionally funny, "Ed, Edd, and Eddy" show.

how much of this is because people with 'alternative' browsers (like opera, for instance), change their reported browser tag?
I, personally, have no idea, but I thought I'd throw this possibility out there
