I'm not so sure mammals would require less food than most dinosaurs. Most Dinosaurs were actually the size of mammals (dogs, cats, chickens, people sized). And if they were cold-blooded (which we are not sure that they were), then it is reasonable to postulate that dinosaurs heated themselves in the same manner as modern reptiles --from the environment. Mammals, on the other hand, heat themselves by burning a whole lot of calories incredibly quickly; thus a mammal the size of a dog has to eat more in most environments than a reptile the size of a dog. (for evidence of this look at preditor/prey herd ratios --there are something like 10 lions for every 1000 wildebeasts, while there are something like 100 crocodilles for every 1000 wildebeasts.
-reptiles don't eat as much.
this is what Starcraft needed in buckets. Basically, this is a situation that bothered me. Units would have all these special skills, but you had to babysit them to use them. For instance, Wraiths had this great cloaking ability, but you had to watch them and click the button at the right time, or you'd waste the ability. I really wanted a scripting engine that let me say
if wraiths = attacked THEN wraithcloak.
or if Ghost= attaCKING(Tank,PLane, non bio unit), activate lockdown.
I'm not saying that this automatically makes it bas, but most of the money donated by the Gates's is in the form of MS software (not that they haven't done some good --I think they gave money to AIDS research)
I think they fixed the airplane problem at least. It doesn't look like you control them in the same way as land/sea units anymore. Instead, you seem to control them from airbases (Cities, ships) by giving them mission orders (tactical strike --destroy a specific building, interdict --engage enemy aircraft, carpet bomb--attack city, transport --move ground units, etc)
ptolemaic pharotic rule. The Ptolemys were greeks. (well actually they were macedonians). Also becuase of Ptolemaic practice of marrying relatives, (which led to fun nicknames for the rulers: I.e. Ptolemy Philedelphus (Sister Lover), There was little inbreeding, and so Cleopatra can be seen as the culmination of several generations of Macedonian inbreeding. She was actually the first (and last) Ptolemy to speak Egyptian.
-Sorry, I'm getting an ancient history minor at university, so I can go all day about this stuff.
they say theve fixed this, by adding in more diplomatic type victories, and an interesting idea known as the cultural victory (wherin you convert enemy cities because your civilization is much happier/smarter/better)
i really like the mouse click shortcuts in Opera (I.e to go back you just hold the left and click the right mosue button) Its a convient place to put a command I use all the time webbrowsing (when checking out the www, my hand is most likely to be on the mouse when I want to navigate
i have the handspring visor springboard module version of omniremote. It's pretty good, although it can't control all of my stereo (NAD reciever/CD Player)
(P.S. has anyone opened up this springboard module and noticed that there is a spot that looks like it was intended for some sort of transmiter {X10?})
Yes but what they appear to be doing is copyrighting the tones used to generate those numbers (you know, the beep, boop, beep you hear when you dial a phone), and technically musical works are copyrightable (look at the liner notes to almost any album)
this is india. Last i checked, they can't even show people kissing in movies. (there is a lot of fruit kissing, i.e. the guy will kiss an apple, then the girl will kiss the apple --wow, erotic.)
Frankly, if Berke wanted to he could just cross out the names of real people in his strips and replace them with modern names, and frighteningly enough, it would still make sense
that record for years. Every copy of that book that I've seen hasn't had the record insert (any chances of any mp3?)
well, I suppose, people'll list their sucessfull googlewacks on web sites, which will increase the number of sites found for that term.

I think that we do have some competition here.

and Symbol technologies and Handera and Kyocera and Samsung (i think)
--additional palm/os users
some one does -- I see it advertised inthe back of computer mags all the time
i was just thinking about zero emissions of any kind, not necc. this particular tech.
is if it's possible to retrofit current automobiles with this kind of technology.

also in europe (at least in the year 1999), MTV showed a variant of pop up video

I dimly recall that Aol used to be Quatumlink.

Well, they try to design large buildings so that they collapse instead of topple so that damage to other buildings is minizimed.
a lot of car cd players and some discman type players (the ones with the better anti-skip), play discs in the same manner that computers do.

does this save you anytime? having 2 boxes still means you have to set up hardware twice, by definition.
same.
