    I don't know, I'm only 21 and bloom county is my favorite strip and I've only ever encountered it in book form (my parents recieved, to my dismay when I was a child, the only paper without comics --The New York Times)

    Wouldn't the soft clipping feature found on many mid-to high end amplifiers fix this problem? (I know my NAD C 740 reciever has this feature)

    I've seensome games use DAE to cache their in game music. ITs not common, but its sometimes done, and its also legitimate.

    This something i did that made things a helluva lot better.
    Simply, before you change anything, just make sure all screws (especially the powersupply mounts) are as tight as possible.. MY box used to sound like a fanboat, but now, with ighetr screws it doesn't really bother me much at all

    an 'integral' component, and therefore it is sold
    as part of the Windows package?

    they don't need to fold the keyboard anymore because the screen is now the widest part of the laptop, and since notebooks close like clamshells, the keyboard and screen area have to be same size, and the screens are big enough for a full size keyboard (minus number pad)

    i have sw bell dsl (which drops almost everyday randomly), but i managed to connect my linux box (and a bunch of other computers in the apartment to their ppoe system using a linksysn "etherfast" cable/dsl router. It works okay, although, I'd recomend turning of DChp if you want to deal the goddamn inflexible firewall the thing's got.

    Although your response is funny (and if i could, i would probably mod it up), but the consensus around here (my apartment, not /.) is that the better order is freeze, whack, crack. This is because freezing is most likely to work without damaged sectors

    not if you used an Isp's installation disk. In win 3.1 days I used three different ISP at various times (4 if you count prodigy, which I started using because it came iwth my 286 ps/1)
    Sprynet, PipelineUSA, a local isp called Sufnet --they all had installers that would configure trumpet for you, and the browsers (Mosaic mostly) would activate the trumpet winsock dialer automatically. I didn't really notice a difference when I got win 95, except that the dialog boxes looked different.

    (DSL and a routered box and dialing up is a thing of the past, but....)
