It's not that bad: I bet you[even if you don't know it]... 1: only have windows with MP3,s open when your looking for or sorting mp3s 2: normally move the cursor out of the way when you wan't to see what I'm doing.
It only plays once, so there's no problem with the looping.
Like my sister? Ok I setup the PC, but she uses to Check email, browse the web, and do a little word processing.
So, ok, I had to hack the ADSL driver, stop kduz because it kept reconfiguring or removing the printer, but that shouldn't be a problem for an off the shelf box.
It would be, umm.... nice to know how much the media corps 'donate' and how much the oposition donate, not that there's anything dubious about the desision.
because there toooooooooooo lazy to look for themselfs.
I can probably give you sources to prove more-or-less anything. I nice deep link into a CS site, or a bit of monsanto propaganda and you can prove that the world is flat.
Well if not for Linux, then for the users.... Key projects are starting to mature and become more 'user friendly' which is important for the desktop usage Linux is missing. a few examples are:
Desktop+ performance features have made it into the 2.6 kernel, things like pre-emption, lower larency, higher frequency clock, async-io, better threading, alsa.. All great news for desktop users.
Support is under development for older video cards (often build into modern chipsets) in the DRI project, giving decient X performance to most users.
KDE and GNOME had a lot of new features in the latest releases, the next couple of revisions should see the features maturing, with performance gains, more universality/intergration &co...
CDRecord has added support for IDE drives (without having to run ide scsi) application like arson are making cd burning easy... all good news for the home user.
Wine is comming along in leaps and bounds....
Xine and Mplayer now work for more-or-less every format out there, hopefully next year will see Moz plugins.
The problem with 'driving-driving' laws is that they don't target 'bad' drivers.
Ok,
you shouldn't drink and drive, You shouldn't drive if you... can't see properly. have a bad leg, suffer from tremmors, have a problem concentrating, have bad migrains, drink tooo much coffee or are in a bad temper.
You ability to drive isn't just dependant on the amount of alcahol in your blood,
You'r far worse just after you've finished drinking (say a couiple of pints) then you will be in the morning if you drank so much you were still over the limit.
If I smoke a joint, for at least 90mins I'm a better driver, coke makes you 'perfect' in judgment but lacking in concentation....

no mushroooooms is cool, I grow my own mushrooms and have no complaints about mushroom being put on the box.
without poking around too much i'm sure reading through this site will give you more insite. They help pay for studdies, so I think there fairly well informed.

Well this is kinda getting OT...
it works fine, honest. there's a few seconds delay, and you can turn it off.
Documents also display a larger preview.
Ok A lot of it is windows 2000 ish,
but hold you mouse over a music file and it plays.
Hold if over a movie and it plays.
You can edit MP3, JPEG etc... meta-data.
try camera:/ (if you have kamera installed) and you can access images off of most digital cameras.
etc.........
Stock KDE is a lot better than stock windows 2000, a bit klunky (like a JCB!) but still better.
Like my sister?

Don't you mean Max OS X,
Is Mac OS X ahead of Linux on the desktop or just Mac as a whole?
Hmm... names and faces are nicer to know, (but take some poking around).
Say Big bobby, took fran out to lunch, and fran lent bill her 'holiday home' and use of a jet.
Bill slipped in a one liner that was 'favorable' to bobby.
I'm sure it happenes all the time...
A lot of the XMas PC stock in my local computer shop all had OpenOffice pre-installed (well startoffice).
You get a lot more bang for you buck with startoffice(over Works or Office), especially if you a home user.
No, the end of a crow bar through your window still works quite well. a hand towel usually dampens a lot of the noise (from the window).
It would be, umm.... nice to know how much the media corps 'donate' and how much the oposition donate, not that there's anything dubious about the desision.
you wouldn't be able to sell (or even give away I suppose) the DVD's,
How does trade law apply to copyright (and trademarks).
I can't bring food into the US,even for personal use. Customs might not care, but it doesn't mean that it's ok.
Don't forget that the USA is just like a bunch of soviates, there like states not like communism.
You shouild have said
The wealthy elites redistribute the value of your bank account into their labor power!
don't you know anything about the markets'
If I import clones from a country that has week IP laws into say the US then I'll probably be sued till the cows come home.
because there toooooooooooo lazy to look for themselfs.

Well, if you wan't to have lots of fun, well kinda, try making some of the chemicals you self or using household goods.
Amonia isn't that hard to make,
Ethanol's quite easy too (just don't get caught!)
Acids are a bit trickier.... but not that hard.
It'll give you lots of practice nad help if WW3 breaks out(or if you need any 'added-extras' for a night out).
Things like the anarchists cook book should help point you in the right direction.
Umm... that still doesn't alter the fact that as things stand Linux (on the desktop) is dependant on OSS.
Sure most of the desktop apps can be used on other OS's, even windows if you want, but most apps for comercial Desktops can't be used on Linux.
linux has been success for backend applications for quite a long time. This year wasn't that great for server side linux.
It's also important to note that most non-free software isn't written for Linux.
Apple have Mac OS-X, based on BSD(probably because of the GPL more than anythinng) doesn't help out other Unix users.
Sun have tones of proprietry software, again doesn't help out the rest of unix (OpenOffice and things like that are comming out of Sun)
Microsoft has Windows, help out Apple a bit and that's about it.
Linux has OSS that can be used by anyone else

Well, I play the guitar, not that well but that's another story.
I find I get more problems with my hands from using the wheel on the mouse then from playing the guitar.
Although the motions are fairly simila, the extra bit of resistance on the guitar strings might be what prevents the stress....
I've never had any problems typing, and I've been doing that long enough. (though again I use clicky not soft keyboards).
The problem with 'driving-driving' laws is that they don't target 'bad' drivers.

umm... how many tracks can you fit on a business card sized cd? just a couple I think (remembering those tiny CD's that don't really exist any more)
I've been handed vinal in a pub before, a business card style CD would have been a lot easier.
the problem is that the 'goverment' is in the business of keeping it's self in bussiness.
I'm sure most pollititians aren't in it because there kind people who want to do the best for everyone, there in it at least in-part for themselfs.
.....MP3 business cards for music distribution/promotion?
You'r not comming in, where's you tux?
