    No I'm saying that building regulations should have been followed, the world trade centres were put up double quick and under budget, people tried to scrape the boat on the costs of putting up the world trade centres and paid the price later on.

Why do you think Intel is hyperthreading there core? so that next time round they can realy put two processers in there and sort out the threading men from the boys.

    No need to signal process in the CPU, you can knock together a PCI card with a ADC on it for $30 that perfectly good for recording sound, I made one on an ISA card for a 286 ohhh at least 7 years ago and it was cheap then...

    I though Moore's law related to transistors and cost, IBM could probably make some shit hot chips (and probably do) but there out-of-pocket for me and you (and possibly IBM for really shit ones!)

    There are lots of things that could keep Moore's law going, like better cheeper fabs, a new cheaper way to produce single isomer? waffers, doping methods to prevent leackage which could increase density and reduce failures. as well as new transistior designs.
