If I didn't think a mass boycot would result in a gov't bailout of the entertainment industry...I could almost accept that argument.
Driving a car is a right, even if it is not codified in law. The baby boomer dipshits didn't like the cities they fought in during WWII so they ALL wanted a nice house in the suburbs.
This country doesn't work if nearly everybody doesn't have a car. That's why I have 20 speeding tickets and still drive.
Hypocritical gov't...they hold onto the myth that it is a 'priviledge' so they can squeeze you for money...but they know damn well that if they enforced all the laws the country would stop.
I'm already annoyed by previews and FBI warnings I cannot skip on my legally purchased DVDs. They make my life more difficult, and I will just quit buying them. I really should get back to my reading.
I guess I'd better stock up plenty of spare parts before the coming DRM appocolypse. People would never drive a car that would arbitrarily not drive down a certain road because you didn't 'buy-in'.
Why not? Oh...yeah...incompetant gov't employess can't secure the network so they need to secure the clients too. Lame. I would never send my children to such a doucherific place like that.
My state government doesn't think speeding is important enough a crime to take my license despite many tickets. They know that speed limits aren't based in reality and are arbitrary laws designed for revenue collection. I have never been in an accident that wasn't an under 25-MPH mishap...due to douchebags who might drive the speedlimit but can't handle a four-way stop, or a yeild sign, or a roundabout, or use their turn signals....
We obviously have different views of what is safe driving.
Slow people cause Frustration if they don't yeild.

When you are stuck behind someone driving slow who is selfish and greedy enough to not let you pass them. You don't want to go fast, fine, but there is no need to play cop and try to stop me. The fast people are outnumbering the slow people. Better be nice to us now, so we will be inclined to be nice to you later.
Yes, there are a few huge sea-turtle species as well as the giant tortoises but there is an amazing variety of turtles on this planet. The vast majority of turtles/tortoises/terrapins are not exactly 'mega':)
If you don't already own it, I found "Turtles, Tortoises and Terrapins: Survivors in Armor" by Ronald Orenstein to be an excellent introduction to all things turtle.
I love the FireFox weather-thing, but I've heard that AccuWeather isn't all that Accu. Besides, don't they just get their data from the gov't and process it?
But when people who lived under regimes like this start noticing simularities...
I could go to Canada...but the Canadian gov't seems to have a large faction willing to bend over for the US in some regards. I guess you could say that for many nations, even ones not right next door.
Maybe I can learn to speak Dutch well enough and move with my wife to Holland. I'm an American Mutt thru and thru so I don't really have a homeland...which kind of restricts the nations I can move to as they are very strict if you aren't decended from them. Maybe we can defeat Bush. I hope.
My parents very much bought into Christianity. They had those Dobson Books back in the 80s and holy jebus is what that guy claims scary. Outright lies about AIDS and condoms.
Some 'Christian'. He probably heard that BS from someone he 'trusts' and there-fore has plausable deniablility.
Somehow, I don't think the Christian God is going to accept that.
It's Computer Science. If you want to fix equipment, take Electrical Engineering or maybe a technical school can help you.
Quite frankly, I don't care to dick arround with broken gear. That's why we have an administration group that handles all that ugly stuff.
I can concentrate on the interesting parts: designing systems and writing code.

This allows them to rationalize their behaviour as just because they are fighting back against a much larger and powerful...uh...foe?
And if they don't let him use his own laptop in the school there will be a lawsuit.

Both are deluded by belief in something unprovable and patently absurd.

You need to be able to plan for outages. For me that involves lots of beer.

Lame Megafuana died out....they couldn't compete Turtles are still here...the superior solution!
Desiring a shell is one thing, but a development environment...yeah...cygwin isn't that.
You aren't much of a geek then. Cygwin works excellently.
Not all of us can vanquish the plauge of religion from our psyches. Sadly, it seems, Mr. Einstein was one of them.
Besides, for every Einstein there is a plethora of douchebags worshiping a salt stain on an underpass or a cinnamon roll.
The muslims are the ones with the bombs.
If you put your human penis in the crocodile cloaca, just know you are in the pink AND the stink at the same time!
Thinking people don't like religion.
Hope that helps.

Is it the key-feel or is it just geek cred for having a rare technology?
American society must learn to differentiate between 'wants' and 'needs' soon or it's all going to get ugly.

There are very few facts.
But facing the alternative religious-based explanations...it makes alot more sense to me.
