So you're going to develop this wireless router using Linux and GPLed software. I'm guessing it won't be embedded. Since it's Linux, you can run it on anything, so you can't make money selling hardware. Where is the business model? Selling support for the wireless router software?
Is it just me, or is anyone else both horrified and amused by the twisted relationship between these two companies? Kinda like an incestuous marriage in which both partners are bipolar.
The OS was improperly designed! (Yes I know this can happen with unices...) I mean, sure your memory is protected so that Program A can't mess with Program B's stack, but what about Program A's big_poppa.so being loaded instead of Program B's big_poppa.so and causing troubles? Shouldn't the OS manage all this?
The Japanese seem to only export 1 to 2 year old tech to the US. It always takes a year for new gaming systems to get here, and sometimes up to 2 years for other consumer electronics. Why? Is thiss ome sort of patriotism on the part of hte Japanese companies, ensuring that their country has the best before anyone else?
http://familydoctor.org/handouts/265.html has some simpler exercises you can do with those plastic ruberised dumbells. Unless you're huge, 5lb and 8lb weights should be fine.
If you ARE huge check out this one http://www.t-mag.com/html/body_145shldr.html
The writing style is pretty funny.
I was feeling a bit of pain in my shoulders from typing and mousing despite taking care to have 'good posture'. A friend reccomended external rotator exercises (rotator cuff). Do a search on it, you'll find the exercises. Easy to do with light weights, and it has made a big difference.
This is excellent news! No longer can they sense the heat patterns of your grow lamps and get a search warrant. Of course, the cops most likely can still get your electrical records. Even if you use generators, noise regulations could still shut down your personal-use garden.
The Dreamcast had a similar deal with the LCD-Display equipped memory cards which would snap into the controller. I only have about 10 games, but none of them do anything meaningfull with the LCD. Some games show little cartoon versions of your character, etc... but none use it to display usefull information. Maybe the concept didn't work in playtesting?
I voted against her in the last election. She gets elected by pandering to the poor in her district. Even the republican Yalies can't off-set that. I forget what the margin was last year, but I believe it was fairly wide. To hear this woman speak would bring a tear to the eye of a knee-jerk liberal. I do agree with some of her inititatives, but in general, the woman is a tool.
Yes, AMD did purposely make their new CPU incompatible with all the other CPUs out on the Market. That way once you buy this new solution from AMD you are forced to buy more of them from AMD if you want to expand AND STILL REMAIN COMPATIBLE.
Yeah...Iomega purposely made their new drive incompatible with all the other 20GB portable drives out on the Market. Same with their Zip and Jazz drives, right?
Like to make your under $30,000 car go fast? Hope you like seeing nekid chicks humping lightweight racing wheels and mouthing shock absorbers. It's marketing plain and simple. The Porsche/BMW mags don't have that kinda advertising, 'cause their older readers don't care for it. The Honda/Nissan/VW crowd is generally younger and gets more tits and ass than you can shake a dick at.
What's it mean? It means the things you like to do (play games) are enjoyed more often by younger people than older. Accept it. I bet Scrabble Magazine doesn't have silicon-injected women fondling the game board!* Personally, gaming mags are always behind the times...try getting your info online.
*I personally enjoy playing Scrabble and this is not meant to insult the Scrabble playing contingent of Slashdot.

...it's "beeotchî". Masculine (who'd have thought) 2nd declension.

Well, that's how it *should* be...
Wow...I wouldn't want to be an OS Vendor!

If vendors are made legally responsible for the reliability/security/usability of their products, the potential for class action suits is immense.
:)
Or perhaps the law firms are tired of their Windows PCs crashing and losing data, and figure this is their one chance to get revenge
Mah momma ahlways sayd, if you'n cahn't say nuttin nahce, don' say nuttin 'tall.
Check out http://www.research.ibm.com/cross_disciplines/semi con_tech.shtml for some detail.
But extremely expensive :)

Maybe next year...
Amen indeed!
Maybe I should buy that ethernet module after all! What do you think?

Of course, if the telcos have their way, there won't be any more payphones.
Depends how much the shares go for at IPO. It's worth a shot...
'Cause I'll be ancient by the time this thing actually comes together. I just hope I survive the liftoff.

Why do I bother?
These things would go great on a porch or patio. Especially if you had a large garden to hide them in...
Check out http://www.iomega.com/peerless/features.html and scroll down to the "compatible interfaces".
Sorry son, you lose this one.
