Hey just a quick question since I'm sure all the sysadmins are reading this. I'm a senior in highschool and I want to be a sysadmin once I get out of college. Whats the best thing to major in if I want to be one? M.I.S.? Comp-sci? or comp engineering? Thanks

and then five seconds later it crashes and you reboot. I swear, all of Microsoft's crappy-ass products are what got me trying out Linux in the first place. Seems to me they do a better job of promoting Linux just by putting out more bad products.

Hmm, ok well I'm not sure if this hard drive works on the same principles, but don't you think someone out jogging with one of these things would totally %&$#$^ up the platters and what not?
I mean sure its gonna be spun down most of the time, but imagine running on a treadmill and listening to one of these things...It goes to read the next song into memory, and bang: $200 down the drain.
Well if you don't want moderators posting in forums that they are moderating, how about maybe having a seperate page for each story in which ONLY moderators can post to. That way the moderators can still put in their two-cents worth, but it won't really affect the rest of the comments.
My town better be getting one of these soon! Now all they need is a Corona machine and life would be real good. Of course I dunno if I'd trust a pizza from one of these things after its had a few years to start rusting and having electrical/mechanical problems.
Well I think they would probably have some sort of way to keep just anyone from printing to your printer, either a user/pw setup or maybe signed keys or something
nope accually it was an AMDEK. Mine was ISA sized though, I guess I could plug it into my 686 mobo if I wanted to, but considering you people think it might blow up or something I guess I better not. I'm not sure who made the processor in this bad-boy, since I'm not sure which chip on here is even the processor in the first place. I found the BIOS because I had to switch it out to be able to use CGA , but the rest of the chips all look alike.
Hmm....well my 8088/8086 was on a card. ISA as a matter of fact...hmm, I wonder what would happen if I plugged it in to one of the free slots on 686 system...A computer running inside a computer??
This is one of the few sites where I accually don't mind the banner at the top. I mean comeon, it doesn't even take that long to load. Hell, I wouldn't mind this site having 2 or 3 ads, its still worth it.
Why is it that alien ships are always dark with no lighting except for a feint greenish glow? I mean come on, they need to see too. And why is it that they always speak with this deep "pig sounding" dialect. You figure one of these movies would finally make some aliens that had somewhat human living environments and speech patterns.

me and my 3 friends made up about half of the audience on opening night...it was funny though after the star wars trailer some guy got up and said he pissed in his pants
Uhm did I read that right....did you say the press room had machines running Windows in it? You figure they could have flown some Linux-competent reporters in.

Although it is a BBC article, it says that it was done by US scientists.
