I've been a fan of Logitech for years, but the last two mice I've gotten from them (both the VX Revolution model - awesome mice, when they work anyway) have died in exactly the same way, within a couple months of each other. Makes me wonder if their QC has been slipping of late.
That would be interesting to put into practice, especially considering that members of congress have been known to commit entire books (often law books, occasionally even the bible) to the congressional record during filibusters.
Doctor: Now, we must be very careful with this incision, a slight mistake could cost the patient use of his body.
Med Student: Use of his body? Wouldn't that mean death?
Doctor: Precisely. Now, my hands are much too shaky to make the incision myself due to my raging coke habit, so we'll let the computer control this one. *presses a button*
Computer: *starts moving the knife, but starts moving it erratically, slicing the patient*
Doctor: *quickly turning around* What the hell?
Med Student: (from behind keyboard, visibly shaken) Hey, what's a "General Protection Fault"?
I read somewhere (can't quite remember where) that the port is like USB, but not quite. (real technical, huh?)
If you've owned a Game Boy at any time, you've probably noticed that the game link connector also looks a lot like a small USB port, that's because it's a very early version of the same technology that was used for USB.
I'm going to assume that the GameCube (sucky name, I liked Dolphin a lot better) uses a proprietary format, because they would have hyped USB compatiblity to no end on that page if they had it.
Hmm.. how come you label everything you don't agree with as "liberal"? It's not really a catchall phrase, as you seem to use it. My personal political beliefs don't enter into this, but my belief that you shouldn't generalize people does. My point was that I was half a step away from posting a "ditto" (to use terms you, from your tone and vocabulary are obviously familiar with) but your subsequent racist post made me step back and reread and rethink where you original post was coming from.
Quoted Text:I'm quite worried about all of those Muslims foaming at the mouth at the opportunity to strap themselves to bombs and blow up buildings in hated America.
I know plenty of followers of Islam that aren't "foaming at the mouth at the opportunity to strap themselves to bombs".
You, sir, now appear ignorant and biased. And to think I almost agreed with your inane post about the FBI protecting our rights. OF course, seeing where you're coming from, now, I've changed my mind.
My second semester College programming course had us make a playable version of Othello (also known as Reversi) in Java that allowed the player to try and beat the computer. Not only was it challenging to get basic game mechanics to work, but the in-depth view of how an AI can work (very basic, just a recursive MinMax style algorithm) was both challenging and rewarding when it finally worked, and quite surprising when your own code beat the pants off of you:)
It was meant as a joke, and for that I get -1? Oh, well, there goes my faith in intelligent moderation. If I had posted it as an AC, that would be ok, but I LOGGED IN. Why would I have done that if I was trolling? Think before you auto-mod a post down just because it's the first. Not like I'll come back, anyway. I've realized this is just as much a hotbed of illiterate dick-waving as any other site out there.
Odds are they have more money than everyone in Wisconsin, but that's not saying much.. *grin* (Oh, and that's not a dig at WI, I'm from Milwaukee and a Marquette University Student.. there's just not much money outside of Milwaukee and Madison here.) Oh, and to keep this ontopic, I don't think that MP3's will die because the RIAA can pressure the big player companies, but the fact is that they can be downloaded and burned onto audio CD (or, with some new players, burned in mp3 format to maximize storage) and listened to that way.
*ding ding ding* I agree, this should be the winner:)
Well there's only one solution to that..

EU Web Tax Proposed

Bomb them into submission!
no, just kidding.
If this goes into effect, I recommend a boycott of all EU goods sold online. Embargos are nonfun, but really one of very few good ways to get a point across economically.
That sounds like a lot more security than is necessary. I think that the card companies themselves should have that kind of service, or offer a special "online-only" card.
Yeah, I noticed that too. The music for e1m1 of the original Doom was a modified version of the main riff from Metallica's Master of Puppets, and the music from the DoomII level "Monster Condo" (level 27) is from Pantera's This Love.. quite cool if you ask me.:)
Oh, and you can hear some of these over at Bobby Prince's web page here

Seems like a find-replace error on the word "happen", there are a couple of other places where "happen" appears as "happy":
"I'm tired of my imagination being beyond what I'm able to make happy"
"I knew there was nothing I could do to make it happy again."
is a second degree in maths and he's well on his way to waiting at the dole queue on monday.

I live in NJ and NewEgg has been charging me sales tax (since they have a warehouse in Edison) for years now.

Yeah, there's something wrong with this picture (no pun intended).
I think, at least, we can be certain that there WILL be stairs in these houses.

One of these would have made that CAD class I took in High School so much more interesting. Beats the hell out of that C&C Mill we were using.
I can't count the times I've accidentally gone to http://www.battel.net/forums/warroom/ (instead of http://www.battle.net/forums/warroom/ )
.. well at least it's nothing unsavory, but it is kind of annoying.
I dunno, not the best phraseology to use, 'eh? Makes me think of a muddy bog, not software.
Maybe "pliable" versus "crystalline" would be a better metaphor...

A simple game might be in order.

It's from a Greek myth, and it's spelled "Morpheus".
