You are clearly having trouble understanding the problems faced by somebody with AS. Your example is utterly useless here. I give you a better one.
There are certain elements of social interaction that are inborn, and some that are learned. Imagine if you were not able to interpret any of these. Imagine that you had to interact with people entirely through email or IM, without the use of emoticons. You would not pick up on flirtatiousness, irony, sarcasm, impatience, ANY of these types of subtleties of human-human interaction.
You would quickly find yourself very socially crippled, would you not?
She received something like seven years in jail less the year she has already served, so she will probbaly be out in about six years.
Time served is 16 months. With good behaviour, she'll probably be out in less than 3 years. That pisses me off. The other thing that REALLY pisses me off is she lived in an apartment building, with neighbours. These people were quoted as saying they heard the children crying for a couple of days STRAIGHT, then the crying sorta quieted down, then stopped. They said they didn't want to interfere with a family matter.
Bottom line: There are a lot of people who simply SUCK.
This happened in my city. Calgary, Alberta.
Oh yeah, the dead son was in the apartment, but the baby daughter has not been found. Police swept the Bow River for weeks. I don't know why, perhaps the mom admitted to dumping her there.
Actually, the camera works on the principle that your eye bulges out a bit over your pupil, because of your lens. So it just follows the bulge. Kinda slutty, if you ask me...
Scientists said if it had hit a populated area, it would have released as much energy as a large nuclear weapon.
Forgive my ignorance of modern scientific theory, but why does the density of people affect the amount of energy released? Would it have been less energy if it hit the ocean?
Maybe there is some human fission reaction anticipated here? If so, I think I know how to solve our energy woes... It's time for Carousel. Renew!
The whole notion of trees as 'carbon sinks' is poor thinking. Trees absorb carbon from the atmosphere, true, but then give it up when they die and rot. In balance, a forest is pretty much neutral.
As long as you are willing to maintain that balance, or equilibrium. The bottom line will be, if the total mass of standing trees in forests at equilibrium is reduced (through continual clearcutting and replanting), then there is more carbon out there not being held in the trees. This should be obvious.
Wouldn't it be a fairly straightforward matter to run interference on the watermark signal? I wonder what they have in mind. The spec on watermarking would have to be pretty public.
Umm, $20 is not a unit of currency. $1 maybe, but really $0.01 is our smallest unit of currency. Banks work with digital money all the time and even THEY won't break up a penny. Try charging less than a penny for something. And consider that if people could somehow pay $0.001 per page view for http://www.cnn.com/ or other news provider, they'd make a hefty little profit.
Incidentally, take a look at the wording of that letter - does it mean that if you get permission from Lyons partnership then you can threaten to maim and kill Barney all you want?
Ummm... yes? If somebody gives you permission to do something (assuming they own the rights to that activity) then you are allowed to do it. Of course, they will never give this permission to you, but that's the whole point.
At first, you'll think "How is no back support going to help my back?!?" but I promise you will want one of these at home and at work. I first used it for 30 minutes at a time, now I use it all day and my back is very strong and my posture is great. Check it out. Hmm, this sounds like an ad, but I have no affiliation whatsoever. And I have seen them much cheaper than that store.
And if all video games had the same (profitable) plot line, and wonderful character development.
"ding dong!"
"I wonder who that could be?"
"Hello, I'm here to clean the pool"
"My, but that's a large pole you've got there"
"Actually, it's a plasma gun. I intend to kill you with it."
"No, no. Please don't. I am very scared."
I dare say, if you're looking for a date, you came to the wrong messageboard... It's a shame too, because you sound very... how shall I put this... female? I think I hear the sound of a million/.'ers crying over their consoles.
I wonder if this so-called "liquid nitrogen" has ever leaked before? Come to think of it, I have noticed an awful lot of gaseous nitrogen in the environment lately. Smells like about 79% this morning...
You assume some ulterior motives on the part of the government. What if the reason they want religious/ethnic information is to keep cultures from being decimated? Without this information, they might not realize that in the past 10 years, a lot of people with, say, Greek heritage have move into a certain suburb of Chicago? They wouldn't be aware that they should provide more resources for the Greek cultural groups in that area. Or that they're overfunding in a city where most of the Jewish community has gradually moved away? How else do you get this information without bias?
Actually, if they don't understand, that's partly the point. If somebody asks you, you can enlighten them! And if they tell you to stop, start a campaign to promote towels and their usefulness. Personally, I think the under-25 crowd has largely missed out on having a literary cultural phenom like the Trilogy during their formative years. Now they're too old for Harry Potter, and it's kinda sad.
There are some semi-reliable sources who claim that "A New Hope" was added some time during the first run of the movie, but was not there during the first little while (weeeks?). I think "the crawl" always showed Episode IV though.
Maybe what we need to do is start trying to break underwater speed records and explore the ocean by blowing pieces of it up and analyzing the fragments! How about we repeal the nuclear test ban treaty? That should make things more exciting...We might even end up creating new "species" to replace the ones we're losing. That appeases the environmentalists, and everybody's happy!
Umm, do you know the meaning of the word "paradox"?

Thanks for that, idiot...

So if you're planning to rape somebody, make sure you rape your investors. It's a better ROI.
Sorry, original poster was quite right. I must kill my source.
Here is an explanation.
Actually, the camera works on the principle that your eye bulges out a bit over your pupil, because of your lens. So it just follows the bulge. Kinda slutty, if you ask me...
From the AP wire:
Scientists said if it had hit a populated area, it would have released as much energy as a large nuclear weapon.

I for one would hope an enlightened society could drop the age of sexual consent from (18) to something a little more reasonable, say 15-16.
Come to Canada, eh. 14...

Cute? I guess she's ok from the neck down. What's with that mouth though?!?

Or as Monty Burns put it: "Since the beginning of time man has yearned to destroy the sun. I will do the next best thing...block it out!"
Ummm...right.
"approximately near" ?
I bet if he takes out all redundant words he's down to 60 WPM.
