  1. Seems Fitting on DHI Group Inc. Announces Plans to Sell Slashdot Media · · Score: 1

After reading all the comments on this, I get to the bottom of the page and the fortune reads: "If all else fails, lower your standards."

    Yup.... sounds about right.

" 6) for the love of god, please let Mario and Link get laid one of these games. They've been saving those freakin princess girls for almost 30years now and they never put out. WTF is up with that?"

Couldn't agree more. It would be an interesting game for sure. Probably better suited to LoZ.

Finally I'll be able to do SETI@home on my Android!

  4. Beautiful on Ronald McDonald Kidnapped In Finland · · Score: 1

This is a beautiful idea. Who ever came up with it should be given kudos. It isn't malicious, yet it clearly illustrates their point.

I personally use PHPGEDview. If you need something web-based, this is a great piece of software. It lets my whole family, all around the country, work on the tree.

The courts also use the postal service. It is indeed the best way to move things. You can get in a lot of trouble for trying to screw with other people's mail.

  7. Re:A global remote kill switch in our computers on Intel's Sandy Bridge Processor Has a Kill Switch · · Score: 1

I can see this being something an oppressive government could use to "protect" the people.

"All known Terrorists won't be able to use a computer."

Perhaps things won't go quite like that, but I can still see this turning out bad...

  8. Re:Alright then... on Detroit Government To Abandon More Than 20% of City · · Score: 1

Indeed. I actually think it would be quite fun to live in. It would be a chance to start something anew.

  9. Re:These lessons have been applied on Learning From Gawker's Failure · · Score: 1

No, but if you point it out it will get fixed. Having many eyes on a piece of code encourages it to be fixed faster.

  10. Bad idea on OpenLeaks — 'A New WikiLeaks' · · Score: 1

I think they need to post the full documents. That is the only way to keep things from being censored.
